I doubt Sky really care that much. They get the boxing from Matchroom, who already provide a lot of their sports content, so it's just an extension of that relationship.

Boxnation is looking very good at the moment.

With the addition of Bunce's Boxing Hour, it's a bit of a wet dream for fight fans.

****** is one of the only promoters who are actually taking a risk these days and it could be called giving back to the fans (at a low enough cost), have to respect him for that

Well i went ahead and cancelled my sky sports subscription last night so in my eyes they have. Cant believe its saving me £20 per month. That will cover my current subscription to Premier Sports and my subscription to Box Nation when it becomes encripted!

That sky lineup is shockingly bad! But the thing is, they will still attract regular sports fans with their stable of fighters IMO. If Haye chooses to box on they will have him, Froch and probably Khan if rumours are to be believed - the 3 biggest names in the sport from a general public point of view. Added with Prizefighter (a shoot-out tournament) as well as the rest of Hearn and Hatton's stable, they can long it out for a while.

Boxnation is definitely where the values at tho considering Khan, Foch and Khan will probably fight a combined 7 times next year at best, whereas Frank is having 2 events on every week from all over the world

What's the risk? Is it even his money? He was taking more of a risk continuing with Sky, seeing as FWP was financially tanking (according to their accounts).

There is a risk a massive one you put all of the sport on one channel that is subscription Sky tapers off its production of shows with a view to keeping only prizefighter or no boxing at all by Summer next year.

Maloney and Hatton suffer massive losses as a result of this one or both may go out of business.

Boxnation runs for a year having spent millions acquiring rights paying big purses but doesnt get the subscriber base to really become sustainable. It folds and boxing is left without a home relationships with Sky have been severed by ****** promoters have suffered major losses. We are left with Hearn to pick up the pieces but he does so with only the profitable parts of boxing to package to Sky who no longer have the appetite for boxing having been burnt in the past.

How does British boxing continue without the ability to stage domestic level fights without television money? Who suffers ultimately? The fans because they get to see less boxing and the fighters because their purses will be a fraction of what they are currently.

Its a doomsday scenario but how does he get 100 000 subscribers at £10 a month i just dont see it sadly. As long as it lasts its going to be great in the short run but monopolising the sport in this country on one subscriber channel and then that channel going out of business cant be good in the long run.

i think you need to be fair to Sky. Fwank royaly stiched them up. They would have been in negotiations for Bellew vs Clev and setting up dates for October and November with Burns, Mitchell and ******s other champions right up until the point where.

Sky had kept those dates open to Fwank. They cannot be filled by there active promoters at 3-4 weeks notice.

Come december I would expect Sky to have a full week-week boxing schedule again,

What do you think about the 'sustainability factor' with regards to finance and boxnation?

How many subscriptions will they need? Advertising fees won't bring in massive numbers?
