Gotta love a man who can win with a dislocated shoulder, stupid shorts though.

The shoulder was grotesque! You can clearly see it dangling in the video I posted. Really, the fight should have been stopped. But Danny the warrior was having none of it :bbb

I don’t see it as a sad ending to be honest. He seems realistic about it, is unlikely to take any massive beatings and is still in love with the sport rather than needing the money.

I'm afraid he might get the 'Roy Jones Effect' with people not remembering his achievements, but remember him getting beaten by a guy he would have destroyed even just past his prime.

I'm not sure his fights are high profile enough for that.

Danny was his own worst enemy, cried or maybe even still does cry before fights. His addiction to Mr.Kipling's fine cakes was another major issue as well as his terrible balance which was mostly down to his poor shape at times and lack of work on legs. I think towards the end of his title career i think bringing in his mates from Mosque lost him chances at maybe extending career at that level. He looked poorly trained by Peirrera..

Personally i think he could of made himself a better fighter if more dedicated to each fight but at same time the Jekyll and Hyde of Danny is what made him such a enigma.

Erratic but brave warrior! One of my favourite domestic fighters from my own time.

Erratic is right! You feel sometimes he'd put in a very good performance, another time he just wasn't there.

 I suppose you have a point

I agree 100% Mand. A fully focused Danny, mixed with his bravery - he would have been a serious force IMO. Maybe a little like Naz.

    Erratic is a perfect word!
