He was about 250 pounds and had about 30 or 40 pounds of extra weight on him. Prime Foreman and Haye are about the same height and weight.

But no doubt Foreman was stronger, fought bigger and was better but thats another question.

They are about the same height, but Foreman was much thicker and rugged. Foreman was a powerhouse.

Why would anyone say that Foreman would cut weight before fights. That is senseless.

Haye has grown into his frame, being 6'4 in and roughly 225. I personally think 240 would suit him better myself and aid him in fights with the taller stronger HWs.

If your disagree with EH/TS, don't vote, but don't take the bait and lie saying Foreman would purposefully cut weight down to 220 before a fight. It aided his power being big and fast, dropping weight like he did vs Ali was due to illness not intention.:rofl

So if Haye does a Hatton in retirement...would you say Haye was bigger?...

Ffs. Foreman was a natural heavy and powerful for even a heavyweight and just because theres no weight limit doesnt mean hes coming in at 500 lbs heavier is not always better. Hws dont have to cut weight but of course theyalways have. 255 Lennox isnt fighting as sharp as a 245lb Lennox those saying Hws dont drop weight to perform better you really dont know ****. 5-10lbs is a huge deal.

People tend to confuse "big" with "tall". They're equally tall but George is clearly bigger with a bigger frame and a more robust body structure.

Dunno about this though. A 245 pound Lennox is merely 4% lighter than at 255. Almost negligible.

Lewis was at his best at 245. He bulked up for heavy hitters like TUA, Tyson, and the HUGE Kirk Johnson.

Seems Vitali got the 255lb Lewis simply b/c Lewis wasn't going to attempt to trim down on 10 days notice for a fighter who wasn't known for his speed and athleticism.

I find it hard to believe that Foreman was dehydrating himself even as little as 5 pounds going into 15 round fights.

I used to sweat out about 5 pounds to make weight for wrestling but had about 5 hrs to rehydrate it still took something out of me as far as energy goes. And boxing for 45 min is a lot harder work.

Nobody is going to sweat out pounds of weight going into 15 round fight on purpose.

Also bare in mind that Foreman was fighting guys in a era where 6 foot 205 lbs heavyweights were quite common.
He never had to fight guys like the Klitschkos etc.

A lot of it is relative.

  11. First of all I think Haye is 6'2 1/2 and weighs 218.
Foreman being an inch taller than Ali,Norton,Lyle and being the same height as Pierre Coetzer and Mike Jameson was more like 6'4 and you can bet he weighed at least 220 in every fight from Frazier on. By the end of his first career he was already in the 230's! Evander Holyfield weighs 225 now but is still smaller than prime Foreman. Foreman is taller, heavier, stronger, tougher than David Haye. Foreman had the big wide upper body and Haye looks like he might be around the same size as Ken Norton.

Oh and Foreman did fight very tall guys as well. 6'6 Gerry Cooney was knocked the **** out
6'7 Bob Hazelton was knocked the **** out

  12. Also, let us stop pretending that a fighter ever is what weight he's listed at. When Foreman weighed 217 for the Frazier fight,we all know he was really 224 or 225 just like when he was listed at 250 when he fought Moorer he was really like 260 and so on and so on. All boxers eat like animals.

    We "know" this...how?

We know what the weighing scales say.

Yes, its hard to imagine them being the same size, but they are. Foreman, Haye weighed about 220lbs, same height, 6'3, Foreman may have been 6'4. However, Foreman was far more thick set & his body had far more density than Haye's does now.

People think of Foreman as some massive heavyweight, but he really wasn't in comparison to the Klitschko's. Its just that Foreman was like a wrecking ball & generated such force.
