Yeah I no he beat Burley, but that was just outside his four year period.

I wrote an article on the Brit forum about Bivins which can be found here:

It's about halfway down the page. Have a look round the thread tho, it's got some really good stuff on it.

Bivins doesn't get the credit he deserves! And it's sickening!

I answered between the lines, but for some reason it is kind of messed up. Ok, I think it is fixed now.

Yeah with Bivins, he did have a few losses, but the majority came at the end of his career. While he was the larger man against Charles, Ezzard does have a good HW resume which cannot be over looked. It's a shame that none of his 'prime' is available. I mean he pretty much battered Charles (knocked him down 8 (?) times), even tho Charles gave him some back.

A couple of things that stick out:

-You mention Burley as having out-weighed Bivins by 8 pounds, when the opposite is true.

-You refer to Charles as "the greatest Light Heavyweight of all time" and a "pound for pound kingpin" at the time Bivins beat him, when in fact at the time he was a somewhat green Middleweight by comparison, along with being the smaller man. I doubt you meant to do this, but it seems to over-glorify the victory, as good as it was.

Nice effort on the whole, though.

Mike Tyson, and I base that on nothing other than pure bias.

The Burley thing was a genuine mistake.

But I never said that Charles was considered the greatest LHW ever WHEN Bivins beat him, I merely said that Ezzard is the greatest LHW ever, and that Bivins beat him.

I'm a Tyson fan myself, but it makes me cringe when people flatly say things like the one you quoted.

Maybe Ali? Lol wow. Ali imo is the greatest fighter of all times. Hes fought a harder division in the heavyweight with the resumes of norton, liston, paterson, frazier, young dangerous foreman. And ali 3 wars with fraizer in which In the 3rd fight is easily the top 3 or number 1 greatest fights of all times.
