If that is the case then Lennox Lewis landed lucky punch on Vitali's Eye and caused cut. There is not such a thing lucky punch man. just unfortunately consequences.:good:deal
People talking about Presscott landing a 'lucky' punch do Khan no favours, there was no luck involved. Khan at 135 lbs, weight-drained, poorly conditioned & coached before he changed to Roach was a K.O. waiting to happen. Prior to Presscott, he had shown absolutely no development in his ringcraft due to the abysmal coaching he was receiving and still fought in that amateur style of throwing as many punches as possible with zero regard for defense. The luck that Presscott had in that fight was meeting Khan at that stage of his career, if Presscott hadn't got there first then some other journey man fighter, domestic (Murray, Mitchell) or any half-decent lightweight would have starched him. Khan has said it himself, the K.O. was a blessing in disguise and changed the direction of his career for the better. The Khan of today is vastly improved (and has loads more potential) compared to the fighter blitzed by Presscott in less than a round. Khan's fans should acknowledge the positive role Presscott has had on Khan's career, Amir has and his crtics should recognize the improvements that Khan has made under Roach & his achievements.
There was no luck in that punch. Prescott beats that Khan at 135 100 times out of 100. Khan obviously has gone on to become a better and smarter boxer, but Schaefer claiming Khan could have the best chin in boxing was incredibly ignorant and stupid. If Prescott spit out his water it was the approprate reaction.
It's just a promoter hyping his fighter. You know, how Arum claims Pacquiao to be greatest fighter ever.
I get what your tryna say. It kinda makes sense but doubt HBO will sanction that fight. That loss was in 2008... alot of things have changed since then. This might sound crazy but I would like Prescott to be Amir's last fight before he retires at 28. Prescott wants a payday end of. He needs to work up the ladder like Amir did... not so long ago most of the UK media wrote him off saying he was a fluke etc. but he came back stronger. Only Amir must know what type of negative press he had after the Prescott fight. I think he can easily outbox/KO Pressy but just don't think it's feasible. And poor Timid Timmy he's fighting a 40 yr old boxer whos ranked 30th or something. Top Rank think they are tryna fool us by making him (Timmy) look good in his post lay-off fight. I wonder if we will ever get to see the 'every boxer should get a chance to fight evryone' type of mentality from Timothy ever again? Maybe greed has gotten the better of him...
