I consider Tyson a bit of an underachiever. Although he did accomplish more than any other boxer could even dream of accomplishing, I think he would have been unstoppable for way longer than he was if he wouldve kept his focus and discipline.
Mike Tyson was a HUGE underachiever after he fired Kevin Rooney. Ike Ibeabuchi was a big underachiever too, for obvious reasons. Other than those guys, Corrie Sanders would have been huge had he fully been committed to Boxing, Andrew Golota would have been a titlist (at the least) had he not been nuts, David Tua would have been a belt holder too had he cared enough to stay in shape, and Bowe would have held the title for a lot longer. It's really sad knowing guys like Ruiz, Chagaev, and Ibragimov were champions while guys like Golota, Tua, and Ibeabuchi weren't.
david haye? haye was a great cruiserweight even though he only had 2 world title fights. as a heavyweight, he promised a lot, but when his big moment came, against wladimir klitschko, haye proved to be a false prophet. his mate audley harrison on the other hand.....
Zab Judah has the skill, talent and physical attributes of Floyd Mayweather; however, he has more power. He should have been an all time great. Instead he is what he is... Such a huge waste of talent. Just to clarify, I am not saying Judah should have been better than Mayweather. Mayweather has a ring intellect that few, if any, have ever possessed. That being said, Judah should have been right up there with him. Huge waste of talent!
Joshua Clottey Zab Judah Kirkland Laing David Tua Andrew Golota Ray Mercer Sam Langford ( not his fault though as he wasnt allowed a shot at the hw title because he was black! but some people view his as the greatest of all time)
I agree with Bowe and Sanders but the guy that this thread was made for is Golota. ****ed it up when times got tough. Even when he was winning against Bowe, "Decided" to **** it up. Not only once but twice. Not mentally capable.
Haye Dirrel (still has time) Sanders Judah (while I don't agree he would have been an atg) Bowe James Toney, fat and lazy Ray Mercer, see above Jermaine Tailer - very talented, poor engine Audley - Massive potential but NO ambition David Tua - Post Lewis Tua should have been knocking headsoff, but a combination of incredibly poor management and poor discipline saw him fall by the wayside
Beat me to it. Though, realistically Tyson had a body I don't think would have been possible to maintain anyway.
Cuffing right hand? Are you blind? Straight left was blocked. That has to be fastest anyone has gotten up from a KD ever. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdC0v8y4axw[/ame] 9:40
