how does fighting Martinez compare to fighting Barrera, Marquez, and Morales? It doesn't. Martinez is not even HOF bound yet and if he loses to Floyd he can kiss the HOF goodbye.

Because they were all past their prime while despite Sergios age hes at his best. Sergio is also the current #3 p4p and universally recognized middleweight champ. Cmon you know if it was Pac challenging Sergio youd be giving all credit to Pac dont deny it.

I've always said Pac would beat Sergio. Barrera, Morales, and Marquez > Martinez.

If this is true then I'll be the first one to give major props to Floyd.

This will definitely urge Arum to look for more worthy opponents for Pac.
Pac's recent fights are simply ******ed.

I'm trying hard to not think about this fight before everything is signed. I'd be so disappointed. This would be a BIG fight that would have a huge impact in the boxing world.

It could possibly derail the Mayweather/Pacquiao eternal hype, it could give Floyd his first lost, it could send Martinez back into obscurity (considering his age and reflex-based style, it could be one of his last big fight).

    Huge fight.

You're right, but you've got to consider things in the right context. Duran's win against Barkley was a huge win because Barkley was much bigger and had just Knocked Hearns out. Martinez would be a huge win for Floyd because he's a skilled and bigger boxers who won his last 3 fights by KO.

People need to take off their fanboy's glasses and give these fighters credit. Pacquiao did amazing things in his career and if Floyd fights Martinez, it would be amazing too. Give these guys credits, they're the two best in the sport.

Barrera past his prime? He had just beat Hamed, Morales, and Kelley within two years before facing Pacquiao and he did pretty well against Marquez after. How was Barrera past prime????

I think Floyd's way to fast for MArtinez. Sergio could fuk Floyd up if he finds him and Floyd is slowing down a bit.

I take it that by this comment you agree with the guy I was responding to, who said that beating Martinez would make Floyd's resume and career superior to Pac's.

I agree that people need to take off their fanboy's glasses. Pac is 5-1-1 against the three Mexican greats and has won world titles from flyweight to jrWW. Martinez is not even HOF bound. Sorry.

Typical wishful thinking by Mayweather fans. This is as credible as those 'floyd will fight in Dubai' rumors from last year.

I'll eat my hat (id buy one and eat it) if this comes true. Why fight someone who is just as much a threat to his perfect record as Pac is, but do it for less money?
