Khan will never be ranked above Prescott... ;)

I rank Hopkins higher based on a better career overall, as seen by his better résumé. Dear lord, the guy is fighting Chad Dawson tomorrow !

However, I would rank Calzaghe higher head to head. Once you get used to the slapping, there is much to enjoy about his game and a high volume puncher who never gas out will always be a nightmare for anyone. He was a great inside fighter too.

Get elite European Mario Veit to unretire and defeat him three times.

There is not anyone who believes Joe is above Hopkins. This thread is pointless.

That poll score makes me think there is still sanity on the General Forum. :happy:happy:happy

Hopkins is a stone-cold ATG, Calzaghe is barely HOF.

Two different levels of fighter, in all fairness.

Nice Fox News question. Hes clearly above Calzaghe already. He was never in jeopardy of not being ranked above him.

    define "many"

joe c was a great fighter, who never fought great fighters until they were in their 40s, and had their string of losses..... did fight 3 or 4 really good fighters at the end of his career that were young...but for a guy with 46 fights...lots of worthless crap wbo bogus title fights against c level fighters back then

hopkins is so far past him its not even a discussion

Not really, yeah fair enough rank Hopkins higher but the gap between the 2 isn't that big at all if you objectively look at both of their careers.

Hopkins would have to beat a fighter as good as Eubank or a fighter as good as undefeated Kessler to get close. Hopkins doesnt have a win as good as these two. Calzaghe has both and a win over Hopkins.

Hopkins is doing well though, no doubt and due to his age will be given props. In fact if Hopkins beats Dawson he will have won as many world title fights as Calzaghe, which is good going, still Hopkins however Hopkins is rated he still became the best MW of his era and won some good fights like over K Holmes and H Eastman etc

    Hopkins UD12 Tarver > Calzaghe UD12 Eubank

Undefeated fighters (Former/Current/Future Champs) Calzaghe beat:-
    - Jeff Lacy
    - Mikkel Kessler

Undefeated fighters (former/current/future champs) Hopkins beat:-
    - Glen Johnson
    - Felix Trinidad
    - Kelly Pavlik

Calzaghe won 22 world title fights, Hopkins won 21 world title fights, 22 if you include the IBO LHW title (Tarver).

What option do you vote for anyway in the poll?
