Know any examples of great wins in first pro fight? Like winning with someone who becomed great fighter years later, was a champion or a contender?

Oleg Maskaev Ko'd some guy who was around 20-0 in his debut, but I don't know anything about the other fighter other than his record on paper. Peter Rademacher floored heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson his first fight, but the bout ended in defeat.

Curtis Cokes turned pro against Manny Gonzalez (who I think was also making his pro debut). Gonzalez would go on to become #1 contender and unsuccessfully challenge Emile Griffith for the welter title as well as losing a 15 rounder to, ironically, Cokes again for what was called the WBA title (before Cokes won universal recognition). Incidentally, Cokes won their 6 rounder in his pro debut.

His first two fights were against Patterson and Folley. I guess this career amateur thought he was too old (28?) to begin working his way up and just jumped in against the best.
He did have some very decent wins in his career tho: Chuvalo, etc...

Max Baer's pro debut on May 16th 1929 when he knocked out Chief Caribou in 2 rounds in Stockton California. I read that it was a hell of a right hand punch he ko'ed the Chief with.

Sahaprom won the WBC International 115 lb. title in his debut, albeit from a pretty nondescript opponent. He then defended it in his 2nd bout, and by his 4th fight was challenging the world class Nana Konadu for the WBA Bantamweight belt. That's a nice start to a career, if you disregard the fact that he was KO'd in two in that one.
