Dont know thought it might have still been morrison. But after seeing STV news tonight he had braevheart t-shirt on which was Hughes company. and you were in the cornor looking a little younger and lighter Mr N.
I don't care what he does boxing doesn't owe Scott Harrison anything. If he can't make money legally that's his problem. Being a professional sports person should be a privilege not a right just because you have talent or once did. If he was smart enough he would still have enough money to live comfortably for a good number of years. All this rubbish about "he's done his time" is nonsence criminals rarely get a punishment fitting to their crime, so its about time other people started doing something about it. Again the double standards of this place makes me laugh, people go on about throwing cheats out of the sport and then campaign to let scum like this back who are the most lukely to take bribes etc.
hopefully not. imo hughes didnt give a **** about scott,he just wanted to be associated with the name scott harrison and be seen as a wee hard man.It was around the time barry signed him that barry got into regular trouble with the cops.imo hughes trying to show hes just as bad as scott
**** this is bad news. I was hoping to watch him get used as a punchbag by and up comer while some scumbag promoter diddled him out of any money earned from the process, then hopefully a gold digger taking him for the rest of his worth
I just seen this Former world champion Scott Harrison should find out by next week whether he will be allowed to box again after paperwork problems stalled his bid to regain his boxing license. The 34 year-old, who has been out of the ring for six years since defending his WBO featherweight title for the seventh time, is set to learn his fate in the coming days, according to Scottish newspaper The Glaswegian, after a BBBC meeting was set up in Cardiff to discuss his case and father/trainer Peter believes his son deserves a chance. “Scott is in limbo until we get confirmation he is getting his licence back,” Harrison told the paper. “He wants to get back into the ring so it’s not right that anyone should stand in his way. “People at the Scottish Area Council have been great and there has been plenty of backing from other figures in the sport so we are hopeful Scott will soon be fighting again. “It has been a nightmare time but he is now focused on getting back to doing what he does best.” ‘The Real McCoy’ is hoping to start his long road back before Christmas and has he eyes on regaining the world title for the third time after serving time in a Spanish prison http://www.*****.net/2011/10/scott-harrison-gets-boxing-license.html
Billy,You wouldn't beleive the things Barry done behind the scenes for Scott and Peter he truely was a good manager. You have totally got the wrong end of the stick mate totally!:good
Barry takes a bit of stick from people who know nowt about him, I know him fairly well, always been a good guy, willing to help! On a side note, good job handing two ringside tickets over at the amateur boxing show last night, 2 ringside seats for Ricky v Kat, cool. Got a good price at the auction, all good for the Barn Boxing Club.
Plenty of fighters with records have been allowed to fight. He has been punished, enough is enough he should be allowed to fight if he wants to.
Realisticly how much money is this guy going to make coming back to boxing. He is 34 years old who many decent fights will he get with a decent amount of money to look after him and his kids like he was saying in the papers? If his dad has that gym and is on the scotland team coaching young boys for the olympics why wouldnt Scott go in to something like that and earn a decent wage. Or is he just glory hunting.
