So far all I've seen from you in this whole Darcy argument,...... are 3 or 4 links,,,,, denials, twisting of the story. For those who are not expert in the Darcy story (all of it, not the sparring match)... KLPN... can trick people into believing him. You are the type of bloke who STARTS MYTHS.............. you are EXAGGERATING.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ QUESTION #1. Are you trying to tell me that Darcy and Fulton did not spar together......... ???.......... They did. .......... whether there was a KO, is neither here nor there....... careful with your answer, your credibility is hanging on how you answer this,..........I have proof that Darcy and Fulton were sparring, I think they might have sparred often.

I will stress that these are fans of Darcy I don't know if they all talk Fulton....... as far as the amount of people who lauded Darcy's ability,....... another poster has more names..... One name in particular is Sam Langford......... Sam thought Darcy was great, Langford is the first huge American name to ever meet Darcy........ who's a better judge of a fighter..------ Klumpton or Sam Langford..???........... Larry Foley or KLUMPTON........... probably Klumpton...... I mean if Langford knew as much about Klumpton about fighting,.... Langford may have turned out a decent fighter.

I never said that fulton and darcy did not spar I said that I have found no evidence that darcy knocked fulton now if you have evidence that darcy knocked fulton out then show it to me

Again,....... diversion,.... that is the beginning of a list of Darcy's admirers, opponrnts. etc............................. The Fulton thing is a sideshow you use to change the subject... just answer my earlier question,...... I am not going to be baited today.

so everyone is a liar except you. we are supposed to believe YOU and not these people from a much more honest age, where in the wider community a handshake was a contract?

look at the good people you are slandering! dont you dare ever quote one of them in your 'book'.

I am looking for more,....... yes it's true,... I think they may have sparred so maybe a fortnight.............. I couldn't talk to you if you denied Darcy told The (Times ?) he was sparring Fulton the next day,......... have you read what Swanwick wrote ???.......... His version is the highest in probability....... He only says what his source told him..... Darcy was in another class,... Ray only says that Fulton quit in round 2 at the end of round. Fred was made to look very ordinary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Swanwick was not one for hyperbole,................ Sparring sessions ARE RARELY NEWSWORTHY.............. at the time,,,---------------------------------- I find it hard to believe that Greb ever knocked Dempsey down.

    from d'arcy niland..

Anyone who tackles history or biography must be prepared to read old newspapers by the thousand. You go through them, day after day, looking down bug-eyed from your high perch in the future, watching a story build up - the inaccuracies, the downright lies, the deliberate propagandist blandishment of the reader. You see the lies consolidate, or fall to pieces in the light of your hindsight.
