The Bute /Kessler offer was estimated to be between 2.75 mil and 3.5 mil with a 2 mil guarentee. If we takes Butes word for it. Steiglitz is supposed to be making close to 1 mil for this fight with Kessler. If Bute can double the Kessler offer less 100K step aside money for Johnson, then I think Steiglitz takes this 4X larger payday than he's ever gotten.:deal
Dind't he also have eye surgery or something? He's prolly damaged goods by now with all them injuries.
Explain to me these facts we know?, and Kessler's promoters version of the story mean less than nothing honestly just the same as any other promoters version of the story when it comes to there fighters. Not to mention you yourself have a agenda against Bute so your not a credible source of information.
Kesslers eye is ****ed and seems that it might cut easy. Now his hand again. The guy is falling apart and i doubt he can take a few years off and come back like Vitaly.
He will be back early 2012. Probably in january. Kessler has problems with his hands (just like Calzaghe), but it is no way near as career threatening as the eye injury (which according to Kessler is healed 100%)
I hope that is correct. That woud be a good fight and great match making. If Markussen wins it would be a huge match up for Denmark, which should have happend along with Larsen. If Steiglitz wins, it would be Kessler trying to get revenge for his countryman. I wouldnt mind if that match happens while Kessler is on the mend. :good I hope that eye problem is sorted. If not I would want Kessler to retire like everyone else. At this time I think Kessler still has alot to offer. It was only 2 fights ago that Kessler was beating Froch
Kessler doesn't know yet when he'll get under surgery. He needs then a 6 weeks break. That will be the beginning of his rehabilitation. They'll be extremely cautious with his hans. I don't expect him to fight before spring but hey, who am I to say that?
Good points! But its these pointless fights against B-level fighters that keeps ****ing him up, to many stupid injuries in build-up fights against guys like Steiglietz it does him no good! He only gets older more fragile and pospones the really big fights fans want to see! He still needs to fight Bute, and maybe a possible rematch against the winner of the S6 to get full credit for his achivements! If he retires now he will only be remembered as the fighter that lost his two biggest fights.. and thats a damn shame. Kessler still has the potentional to prove he is one of the best SMW in new times, and thats what he should do imo.
