I dunno', but I think you'd have to fight in a pretty weak era to be able to account for those kind of stats ;-)

There have been plenty of weak eras in multiple divisions through out history. To achieve this mark a fighter would need power, skills, and longevity at the championship level.

The only fighter I can think of who did this was Joe Louis. There must be a few more.

Julio Cesar Chavez had both, like Bukkake stated. He had 86 KO's and 30 Title defenses, if I counted right.

WBC super featherweight title 9 times (9-0), WBA World lightweight title 2 times (2-0) and the WBA World lightweight title 19 times (17-2). Plus he had other Title bouts where he was the challenger.

JOE LOUIS - 25 "Most Successful Consecutive Title Defences"
That was a world championship not an alphabet soup title or titles
like WBC, WBA, and IBO or whatever group wants to cobble together
another fresh set of letters to pump out a new wave of champions
Will we ever get another real world heavyweight champion or just more paper tigers?

Louis held the NBA (now WBA) and NYSAC (merged into newly formed WBC) heavyweight titles. Those were the two titles you needed to hold to be considered world or undisputed champion.

Muhammad probably would've broke that record if he wasn't wrongfully stripped and exiled for three years. He still has 19 defenses over two reigns, with a three year layoff between the prime ages of 25-28.

Wlad will likely hit 20 title fights and 50 KO wins in his next match.

If you count the prestigious WBO belt that is. Held by such luminaries as Herbie Hide and Michael Bentt who were no doubt credible heavyweight champions.
