What do you think I am an idiot or something? Check your tv listings "Mike" Perez is fighting Harris on Oct 14th.

Unless Perez lost 100 lbs recently, I dont think hes fighting Tyrone Harris.

From the little that I have seen of Perez he looks very strong, fast, aggressive and tough. On the down side he is kinda short at 6 feet tall and his technique is not bad but not awesome either. Juan Carlos Gomez's technique in his prime was 3 times better than Perez but Gomez threw it all out the window with his crazy and undedicated lifestyle.

But Perez seems to have more KO power than Gomez, is more aggressive, younger and seems better dedicated. He seems like he could go very far but I still think Cuba's best HV is Solis. A Solis ~ Perez bout would be great but Solis takes him to school am afraid. Out of the current 3 Cuban HV's of Solis, Ortiz and Perez he is the second best, but who knows maybe he will prove me wrong!

    ;)

I agree.....3 of his 16 fights were in one day.

Sam Sexton....back after 12 months of inactivity fought a decent fight vs a Lithuanian journeyman last nite. He outboxed the tough Lugen to a decision in 6 rounds. Prolly coulda stopped him when he wanted, but looked to be trying to shake off some rust.

Suddenly, without a single top 100 win, he has leaped 1 spot above Mike Perez in the Boxrec ranking.

While those rankings do reflect a mathematical, unbiased rating, how the fudge does two wins over a green BrittCAN, Martin Rogan, and two losses to DelBoy equate to be rated higher than Perez.

Why is a 14-2 Rogan so much better than a 13-0 Rick Dyer?

My man Rodriguez has wins over Beck, Dyer, Bispo, Davis, and Pucheta....some decent Cclass opponents along with a slew of other Cclassers, yet his promotional tema can't get Fury to answer the phone or for that matter any other top 50 fighter seems.
