Hmmm, I always remembered it being wider than that. Needless to say, it was a comfortable points win for Khan even if some of the rounds were completely the opposite.

 

Although both untested at the weight I think the next fighter to take over 140lbs will be either Robert Guerrero or Brandon Rios.

Maidana and Matthyse are not well rounded enough to take on all comers.

Morales maybe has one big fight left in him.

Holt has great punch power but is not consistent enough to dominate.

Should be between Rios, Guerrero, Maidana, and Mathysse. It might be a case of not one dominant guy but these guys giving each other losses if they fight each other........

 

Didn't irk me at all, just was correcting you. My avatar doesn't mean i dislike Khan i just liked that fight and i like Maidana's style.

I personally don't think any will dominate the division. I think most guys are evenly matched in your write up. Guerrero and Lucas Matthysse will be the men to beat i'd say with hopefully Holt re-emerging in title contention after a KO win tonight .

 

Any really. I can see A beating B, B beating C and C beating A in some of these matchups. Probably would lean towards Guerrero slightly on the basis he has a stylistic advantage in a few matchups.

 

A few things:

Holt as inconsistent as ever

Fair play to Garcia, didn't allow Holt to line him up for too much

Garcia really can't punch. Landed some flush shots and bar the right hand to the top of the head that buzzed Holts legs briefly, didn't look like stopping him

Anyone think Garcia can go on from this (proven he can beat a very good puncher) and take any more scalps in the 140lb division? I would say Holt was outside the top ten based on his last showing at the weight (against Mabuza) so where does Garcia go next?

 

Matthysse or Rios (he's going up) are the best 2 and Marquez if he goes down to 140. BUT will we get unification? Morales is just holding up the WBC belt looking for a bum to face. Matthysse could be frozen out and avoided because he's very good and brings little to the table. ****ing boxing politics

Matthysse has arguably doen as much as Khan/Bradley anyway with his performances against Judah and Alexander, Khan-Matthysse would be interesting
