he abandons his basics in pursuit of counter punches and flashy combos.... he has jab!, why doesn't he use it? it's such an important weapon for a slick counter puncher. you have to draw your opponent in and set up shots. not just wait for fighters to fall in. his technique is a little suspect too, he really needs to turn over his straight right. he's pushing that shot atm. but poeple shouldn't write him off. he's still young and lacks experience in the pro ranks. he's a very talented fighter!
They are rushing him...the Super middleweight divison is not a joke, it the most talent filled division out there...to be honest he's only 25-26, he is not ready for Kessler or any of the super six guys yet. I am a fan but I say give him time to develop, before the world title fight. Because in this division the only WEAK champion is fighting Kessler. ps: he cuts easy and gets hit abit more than I would like.
yeah i agree completely... he needs a couple of defences at the weight the step up... i still have faith in him.
does ward have a questionable chin as well then? cus he went down to a light puncher early in his career. he was about the dame age too. just cus someone wobbled doesn't mean their chin is questionable.... he got hit with a big hook on the inside that he didn't see and landed right on the chin..... anyone would have wobbled!
:deal someone who understands fighters need to perfect their fundamentals such as their jab, straight right. also someone who truly knows how to develop a south paw, switch hitting, slick guy like degale. he wasn't setting his shots tonight and he kept waiting for something to happen, instead of making it happen. also his defence was lazy. all things he can definitely work on, cus he has great ability!
Jimmy Tibbs Bob Shannon Robert McCracken I think Floyd Sr will be very good with Degale Degale has a great jab when he uses it, his defence reminds me of cotto's, he has great potential defencively but he lacks the right technique in my opinion
He's not even close to being World Class at the minute. Not impressed by him at all, and haven't been since he turned pro. Any of the top, or even close to the top 168lbers (including say Dirrell) would beat him. He looks small for the weight, and his power is overrated. He has plenty of positives to improve on, but he doesn't use them to his advantage. A change of trainer is essential. He will not reach the top otherwise. The slapping instead of punching is very frustrating to watch.
