    Right.

It's been clearly laid out here. Some will not see it -- they simply choose not to see it, choose not to discuss known facts around specific fights, etc.

We've gone to the "You're a BoxRec analyst" and "You're not a real athlete" cards seemingly as last-ditch resorts by the Calz Hater Posse.

It's embarrassing. But I've been over this territory before, here on ESB. Many times. No need to rehash that now for the latest imbecile. I actually used to enjoy those battles.

But, one grows out of such time wasting. Thus, we move on. We move on.

I could not agree more. Some people have the ability to analyze such things, others do not. That's why they get stuck in resume comparisons, because they can't take "Fighter A" out of "Situation B" and match him up against "Fighter B" in "Situation C."

That is frustrating, to talk with posters like that. Extremely frustrating. Some are just young, and never saw certain fighters. Others are just not good at analyzing, or recognizing talent. That's just how it is, though. We can all help each other, on the board, by sharing things we see that maybe someone else doesn't see.

    No.

Hopkins beat the guy who beat Dawson (Pascal), and "lost" tonight in a bizarre fashion.

But, Hopkins still won the belt (oldest champ ever) and did so by beating Dawson's conqueror.

Hopkins is a legend. And Calzaghe didn't beat him via bodyslam. Much cleaner and clearer win for Calzaghe than Dawson, not to mention he beat Bernard about 4 years ago or so.
