Dawson knew he had no chance so he had to be unsportsman like.

It wasn't much, but Hopkins already was off balance with his momentum coming forward. It happens 100 times in a fight, and it usually causes clinches. Fighters rarely shrug or throw the other guy off. I don't get why people are defending Dawson. Hopkins was the one that may have faked that ****, and that upsets people but there's no need to reduce the action of Dawson. It was totally uncalled for. But then again, it seems with modern boxing fans you can do anything without punching your opponent when he's on the canvas to make them think you have bad sportsmanship.

Kind of reminds me of Chambers-Wlad, but that didn't seem quite the same. Hopkins should retire regardless.

 

All that **** Hopkins talked about Kessler, Cintron and his once good friend Mosley about not being true warriors.....lol. **** him.

 

Dawson didnt grab no ****ing leg...if he did bernard would of left the ring on a stretcher.

 

Holy ****, I think I just woke everyone up laughing at Larry Hopkins trying to catch his mouthpiece out of the air as Bozella clocks him at the bell.

 

Bernard charged in, head low, and climbed on Chad's back, pushing down.

(He'd already pushed Chad to the ground in the previous round).

Chad says "**** that **** !" and gives Bernard the shoulder, throwing him to the ground instead.

Bernard, chagrined that his script didn't paly out as he expected, decided to revert to acting. ( A la Calzaghe bout, second RJJ bout etc). By the time he realizes the folly of this plan, he's lost his title.

But he still has the purse, so all's good !

 

Hopkins knows his boxing. He knows to try and get a DQ when Dawson did pull on his leg a little. I hope the commission does not overturn it and lets Dawson fight Pascal.

 

What makes it suspicious is Hopkins acting like he was in terrible pain immediately. The fight got called and he seemed more upset than anything.

 

then please explain how come in California, Cintron diving out of the ring is a foul, but Dawson tossing Hopkins to the floor with his shoulder is not.
