Hopkins has dislocated shoulder: Confirmed

Not being a dick, but he didn't land "hard on his shoulder", just saying.

 

First of all, this is more serious injury than a broken toe yet people are acting like Bhop pulled a David Haye move. Secondly, Bhop deserves a hell of a lot more respect seeing as he's accomplished so much. You don't have to like him but in no way, shape or form does his last performance diminish his status as an ATG. We're talking about Bernard Hopkins...not Haye or Solis or anyone else who's not proven to be great yet. And finally there is no way Bhop should retire based on just one loss in which he didn't take much punishment. Before the injury Dawson was pitching a shutout on my scorecard but mainly through pressure and ability to back Bhop into the ropes. He wasn't exactly tagging Bernard cleanly and on his way to a stoppage win.

 

Exactly how I feel, just wanted to get his opinion since he said he was live at the fight.. Nothing I have seen lead me to believe he should have been on top of Dawson like that, or that it was because of Dawson he was on him like that.. And I feel like if he put himself into that situation like many others he deserved the result of his actions.. Sucks that the fight ended like that but I doubt many would be complaining if he got up and continued like other fighters have.. And THAT double standard is what I have an issue with.

 

This is stupidity. There is no "what you deserve" in Boxing. There is legal and illegal.

When a guy bends at the waist it is understood that guys can end up over his back. Just like if a guy turns his lead shoulder he may take some shots to the back of the head. Under ZERO circumstances is it OK to wrap a guys leg, lift him, and drive him to the canvas with your shoulder.

I guess you feel Mayweather "got what he deserved" when Victor butted him because he couldn't land a clean shot?

I agree it wasn't 'cool' at all, but just what happens in the midst of a boxing match sometimes.. Think I said in another thread, it was wasn't the best thing to do.. But other fighters have done it, and I haven't seen/heard many complaints about those. I just feel people are complaining bcuz the fight ended with that, not truly bcuz of what Chad did. I think if the fight would have continued we'd hear far less complaints, and I see that as a double standard.

I don't think the momentum should have brought BHOP where he was, but I certainly can't say for sure..

Oh well ****, why didn't you come out and say "it had been confirmed by a doctor" sooner? Man get the **** outta my face with this bull****...probably because I've actually been to a God Damn doctor before hence I know that the emergency room doctor, is going off less information than I am making his diagnosis...there was no imaging, no nothing, he said "Doc my shoulder is hurt"...Doc "where does it hurt"...Bhop: "right here", Doc "how did it happen", Bhop: "I fell like this...", Doc: "It looks like your shoulder could be seperated here's some pain medication...now get the **** out of my way, I've got other **** to do".

 

hahaha you were absolutely right in guessing people's reactions. People who have already made up their mind don't bother with silly things like evidence.

You and approximately 5 other people on earth feel that Dawson did anything illegal, regardless of agreeing with the decision.

 

What I cant believe is that after all the stunts Hopkins has pulled in the past, they're going to believe and take him at his word that it was dislocated.

Hopkins is an athlete. Athletes know how to take a fall when they're going down.
Everytime this cheat Hopkins goes to the canvas, he comes up faking an injury.:nut




......but you know what, not that I trust the California State Athletic commision, but if one of their doctors and (not Hopkins or a GBP doctor) verifies first hand that indeed Hopkins dislocated his shoulder, my apologies to Bernard Hopkins.
......but as of right now, nothing in that fall of Hopkins indicates to me he could have suffered a serious injury from that fall.
