I have him between 4-7 on any given day. It seems anyone who doesn't regard him as great, have problems with him as a man and not as a HW boxer.
H2h he beats anyone in history.he is no.2 all time behind ali only on resumebut would have ruled i that era
Good boxer, def top 50 hw , maybe u could sneak him into top 40, but that is a stretch. Did well to sneak a few wins in against some nice faded and spent names, and retire before getting cleaned up by superior Vitali Klitchko in the rematch that was needed!
Louis was pretty good but not as good as some make people like to make out. Infact a lot of Lewis's opponents were bum of the month types. Because of the war (refer Bosnia - sometime in the 90's) there was a shortage of challengers so Louis fought a lot of nobodies. That's why he had so many successful defences. And he was KO'd twice in a short space of time, namely 15 years FFS. That means his chin was made of glass for a start. If Aussie Joe Bugner the lazy ******* had bothered to drag himself back to the gym instead of lazing around like he was old fat and retired or whatever, then he would have given Lewis a good run for his money. The more I think about the more I'm convinced he would have owned him. After wiping the floor with Louis he could have stolen his name and there wouldn't have been a fukkin thing Lewis could have done about it...Aussie Joe Louis....it has a nice ring to it ey? p.s come back when you know a thing or two about boxing, ok? :fire
You mean the Same Aussie Joe Bugner that got knocked out by Frank Bruno in the era that you're talking about!? Come back when you know a thing or two about boxing!? C'mon Bollox, I agree with the last post, WTF?
Reviewing my earlier comment that top 40 would be a bit high for Lennox, Boxrec agree, him being the highest placed English boxer on the atg list at 42. I think even this when looking at some of the names listed and ommitted) is a bit high I therefore am changing my oppinion to LL top 100 ATG for sure
