Kellerman is an irresponsible fan boy.

 

It was sort of close but Kellerman's scoring is usually horrible

Compubox gives an idea of connect percent but it's not 100%, Dawson landed more imo plus he was the general

 

I have to respectfully disagree. Hopkins jumped all over the guy's back and initiated the wrestling. By saying Dawson fouled just because he grabbed Hops while Hops was in the midst of wrestling him, you're basically saying a guy is just supposed to stand there and allow the other fellow to (illegally) climb all over his back.

Also, Dawson really didn't push him that hard at all. The reason Hopkins tumbled so far backward from that little push was because he was practically floating horizontally over Dawson at the time - but that just further demonstrates how blatant his own foul was.

 

I will say that I don't like where this is going. Cintron pulling out, Haye asking the ref to help him and go down, Dirrel slipping to the canvas every time, etc. I hope it's coincidence and not a pattern. Football has been ruined for me the last 10-15 years, with all those girlie dives. I hope boxing can maintain its dignity and get rid of cheats like Hopkins. He's been pulling this **** for years.

I thought it was genuine tbh, and if what Hopkins said about telling the ref he wanted to continue is true then I believe it was genuine even more so. Shouldn't this thing have been a no contest? It wasn't due to a punch that he was stopped.

To me it seems like Hopkins tried leaning pm Chad after Chad made a great slip, then he decided to bring up the knee and lean in so Dawson threw him off.

TKO or NC i am not sure but what ever it is it is Hopkins own fault.

No Contest, although Hopkins has a whiny ***** lookin' for a way out streak in him that has increased with age.

 

Let's not forget Rahman against Toney, which I think is where this unfortunate "trend" started. Rahman just flat out quit after the referee had ruled him fit to continue. :roll:

Toney was robbed when that got overturned.

 

B-Hop just showed his age. There is no way a throw down could have gotten a guy ten years younger that kind of injury. If you looked at the way he hit the canvas, it showed that his body already had the signs of fatigue.

I think, while he hs showed a strong chin and a mazing skill for a man his age, he should quit before something else gets broken.

People think that the fight game just affects your mental. No, no, no! It also takes a considerable toll on your body. Ask Prince Naseem Hamed, who had to retire because of constant hand injuries. Same thing with RRJ for a better half of his prime career- and he STILL found a way to win with one hand.

B-Hop is not of the speed of RRJ in his prime, now.

Is Hopkins an acting, cheating, piece of crap or a crafty veteran who plays the breaks to his advantage?: Neither, the result is rightly a TKO, but hopefully there is a rematch, as accidents happen.

 

In the footage available he throws about 3 pawing jabs with it after round 3, and otherwise just rests it near his chin. It was as good as defunct as a weapon.

To be honest though, I'm not expecting Hopkins to pull Cerdan heroics, especially at his age, but I highly doubt that that type of injury (assuming it was one) would have kept other more honest fighters down for the count...
