I'd much rather talk about this fight than the antics of Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson.

Both Jorge Linares and Antonio DeMarco stole the show with their efforts, and round 11 in particular was one to remember. Someone has already been nice enough to upload it to YT, thankfully.

I fell asleep and missed it last night, but caught it today thanks to the upload.

Terrific fight. Kudos to both of them for the effort they showed, but particularly to DeMarco who really pulled it out of the bag to stop a quality fighter who seemed to be in control of the fight. The heart shown by both of these guys is unquestionable.

How devastated was Jorge Linares though? Looked really heartbroken after the stoppage.

I love the way DeMarco's corner told him he had to get the KO, and he go's right for it, and get's it.

Indeed. I think he knew that this was a fight he shouldn't have lost.

Demarco vs LInares=all that is good about boxing.

So many great moments in this fight. One of the most salient was the shot of Demarco consoling Linares while the latter slumped on his stool. CLASS!

Really great fight, I think Linares took a hell of a lot from losing the fight (I was big on him years ago then wrote him off after a couple of poor fights). I think he might struggle with any of the top 10 guys at 135 due to his lack of power at the weight...but he's skilled, young, braze and very fun to watch when he lets loose.

They went at it. Some of those exchanges were unbelievable.

Thats my boy DeMarco! Kid had to fight Valero for his first title shot. I knew he could pull it off last night but i started to worry because Linares was there for the taking but Antonio wasnt stepping on the gas he would have lost for sure had it gone to the cards.

Soon as his trainer told him hes gotta knock him out my boy DeMarco went straight to business. Man im so happy for him winning and earning his belt the way it should be....unlike canelo and chavez jr who are practically given a belt for showing up

Man, Linares has some of the smoothest and prettiest punches in boxing and he bounces around the ring so nicely. His ring intelligence and defense are so mediocre though and it really hurts him. I hope he can come back from this and get his hands on a title belt. He's a boxing warrior, as is DeMarco.

The fight that was worth the PPV. 2 warriors in the ring that give everything they got, unlike that circus act.
