Medical Tests Show Bhop does have a dislocated shoulder

Separated my AC once. It definitely causes a step defect (the bump) that hopkins had on the one side. Also I can tell you from experience it is ridiculously painful. I've heard reports of hockey players playing through it but I can't imagine a boxer being able to go on with an injury like that.

and we know hes tough, but tough guys dont do that...tough guys can be hurt...but not sell it as if he was having his ribs pulled apart and his lung removed.
we know bhop is smart....BUT....does he think his signature on a ring magazine is worth anything, just because someone said "yeah, this bernards autograph" 100.00 bucks.... come on BHOP....90% of autographs online are fake....and without authenticity to prove it, its worth only something to the "KID" you "would have" mades day.
Oliver McCall can be one of the meanest provks on the planet...i had a ring magazine too , when he got out of the ring after ko'ing this complete CAN at a redneck old night club in south carolina...as he exited the ring, i approached him mag and sharpie and said "love to have you sign this oliver" he looked at me as if i was a nut that perhaps was gonna do something else..but he had a ****ing glare and (didnt think he would sign it at that point) but ever so gently took both walked back toward the ring, layed it down..and proceeded to sign his name nice and neat on it...i said thank you very much and he didnt blink or say a word just headed back to the dressing room...
point is....bhop is a dick...and he can be very likeable at times...i dont get his hate toward people sometimes...and heres an idea next time bhop...if you sign the kids name first "to billy boy" and then your name...its worthless to anyone that dont have his name...

 

What? A 46 year old Boxer's lead hand in the second round and it is "questionable" if he can continue? :huh

Here is an example of a boxer continuing with a full on shoulder dislocation.. It can be done, i just get the impression hopkins felt he was getting a no contest..

That is on a completely different level. You now saying that this opponents threat was on the same level as Dawson?

It can be done... If your opponent is complete garbage.

 

He wasn't "rushed" anywhere. He hung around in the ring for a while. At LEAST 15 minutes.

His age isn't irrelevant. At 100% this is a feat for Hopkins' geriatric a$$. He is an old man and every tool he loses in that ring just amplifies that. Losing his lead arm was making a tough situation impossible.

 

i just hope he retires for good.

No i never said that opponent is on the same level as dawson.. but since you raise the point - Both Danny williams and Mark potter proved to be on a similar level to each other just like Hopkins and Dawson are, so in the context of "levels" and "threat" it is comparable. Williams i believe was loosing, fighting at heavyweight, had been floored, dislocated his shoulder and then knocked his opponent out. The threat was very real and in the context of levels it is all the same even if they are ****, cos the "level" is relative

 

youve done a half dozen or more threads saying this...the dude was hurt...i get it. now address the crying like a baby in pain anytime hes touched by anything other than a punch to the head or body...

 

unfortunately williams will be talked down to as a dumbass for risking his "health" when all he did was never consider quitting and at the same time, trying to win...and did..if anyone hasnt seen this fight, its incredible....
and its fine if bhop didnt do that....but the crying baby act is getting old for a street tough savy prison hard man..come on

 

All this "impossible" talk is nonsense. Sports are about the over coming the impossible which Hopkins did when he won the belt at 46. It would have been amazing if he at least tried to fight but he gave up.

Anyone remember the Yuri Foreman-Cotto fight? That guy could barely stand but he fought to the end. It was a different injury but just as "impossible."

Anyone see Rondo play with a completely dislocated elbow? Sure it's a different sport and injury but it's the mentality that every athlete should have. It sounds corny but it's true.

I'll say it again though, the fact that Hopkins was able to roll his shoulders when he was showing Kellerman the injury and the fact he had his arms by his side shows to me it was not to severe. Probably a grade 1 separation. I'll do some research but I'm sure many fighters have fought with this type of injury.
