Medical Tests Show Bhop does have a dislocated shoulder

Exactly fella.. You right bhop didn't have to do what williams did but he could have handled it in a more credible way for sure..

 

The armchair warriors have spoken, they saw the video from their couch, concluded he wasnt really hurt.

Then they googled "he acromioclavicular (A-C)" and decided that it sounds like it doesnt hurt that much and he could have continued fighting.

 

first gif shows a real slam. the guy lands flat on his back.

bernard was lifted off his feet but both of his feet hit the ground first then his ass then his elbow.


i dont think he faked the injury or pain but he overplayed it. he couldve gotten up off the canvas and tried better to let the fight continue. he was clearly looking for a easy way out even if it wouldve just been called a no contest.

 

Thank you for the diagnosis. We have a confirmation from another couch potato that he could have continued and that it wasnt "too severe"

 

Do you clowns realize that Bernard Hopkins is 46 years old, with a very serious shoulder injury? Or should a champ just "walk it off"...yea, walk off a shoulder injury in a sport where you pretty much use nothing but your arms...

 

Couch potato? Okay. Whatever. But, I didn't google AC joint injury. I'm a physical therapist and I've worked on the sidelines for football games as a trainer. I have a lot of experience with these type injuries. One of the things I used to ask with a shoulder injury was "Can you roll your shoulders?" and "Does it hurt when you let your arms dangle?" Obviously I used to do more tests but most of the time if it was a grade 3 or higher the person could not have rolled their shoulders at all.

 

Its a seperated shoulder, not a dislocated shoulder.

Theres a BIG difference.

A dislocated shoulder is visibly obvious,as the whole arm sags down as the arm is out of the socket. Go watch the Danny Williams/Potter fight and see what a DISLOCATED shoulder looks like.

 

yet once again....a know it all like you ....only says the same thing what most have already agreed to ...he is and was injured....
now...with that said....does he have to put on a side show and wince in pain and flop around from that tumble? holy ****ing christ...you would think he fell out of a plane.....dont bhop know its ok to have a legit injury without trying to sell it like a wounded dear that was shot in the woods?? dont bhop know you can have a legit injury and it not be shocking pain that appears to be the same facial expressions as a woman giving birth...... guys that are beyond tough, street tough, prison hard...dont ****ing do **** like that from a tumble..come on man :rofl

Hopkins suffered a dislocated joint. Dawson should have been DQed for that. Everyone made judgment call on Hopkins injury some even suggesting that he should have risked his health and fought with one arm.

The only way to prevent **** like this from happening in boxing is to deduct a 'certain' percent from fighters pay check, maybe both. All those people who paid to see this fight were robbed and not only that but those people and others may not order future fights. There needs to be some retribution against a fighter to make him think twice.

 

do you realize the reaction of most is how hopkins reacted...not that he was hurt or quit...he tumbled over and wasnt a violent fall....he wasnt dropped out of a 7th floor window on concrete....whats so hard to get that they are sick of anytime the guy is touched other than a fist to the head hes flopping around in pain...clutching a body part like it was just hit with an axe

 

That's is a very good point. More often than not a high school player would run off the field after a low grade shoulder separation. Sometimes they would play an entire series and would try to hide their injury. More often than not, they want to get back in the game.

Sorry for all this "high school expert talk," but I'm just trying to put things in perspective. Take it or leave it...

I seem to remember Hopkins fighting earlier in his career with one arm in a fight after he got hurt. It may have already been brought up but does anyone know if this injury is similar?
