    For Joe Louis ????

Louis would spark any HW today, the Klitchko`s included.... David Haye vs Joe Louis would be a complete massacre, Louis would K him TFO & early.

Joe Louis would decimate today's heavyweight division. Guys like Carnera, Buddy Baer and Abe Simon would all be top contenders today, maybe even alphabet title holders, and Louis destroyed all of them more decisively than either of the K brothers would. He'd have problems with Wlad and Vitali, but he'd chop them both down eventually.

Why are you laughing ? :huh

He`s 100% right, Louis was faster, hit harder & was far more skilled than either Klitschko brother... you actually said David Haye would be too fast & powerful for Joe Louis, to anyone that knows anything about the history of boxing & has actually seen Louis fight, that is a truly embarassing & ignorant thing to say... your fkn mental pal.

It was the only fight Louis ever lost in his prime, he underestimated Schmelling, you said it yourself, he was a massive favourite... the rematch proved Louis superiority when he KO`d Schmelling in ONE round.

In these fantasy matches we are assuming both fighters bring their A game, Louis losing to Schmelling was an off night, its not like we`re gonna put the Wlad or Vitali of the Sanders & Byrd fights in vs Louis so play the game fairly.

I'm nearly certain Louis would chop Wlad down like a tree. Vitali-Louis would be interesting, but I think Louis would be able to exploit Vitali's very low left hand reflex based style. I think he could Vitali's also very much more counterable. Wlad "The robot" would just be decimated by Louis' ability to slip the jab, be quick, close distance, and throw short blistering combos.

He beat more Ring ranked contenders than any other HW, ever. He only has Muhammad Ali for company.

This was at a time when the talent pool was about ten times deeper than it is currently.

He knocked out tons of guys but that highlight video slows down the punch then speeds it up making them look more snapping. Great heavyweight for his day but Joe Louis best weight now would be under heavyweight.

Here is a video of him when he was fighting at 190 pounds and dare I say he is a bit robotic himself.

It is hard to tell because majority of Louis opponent were cruisers by todays' standards. I say Sultan Ibragimov is a pretty close comparison. It is hard to see Louis beating top guys in the division but he would do reasonable well otherwise.

Louis was a stalker, but his counter punching was very dynamic, and his combination punching was as fluid as any fighter above 175, ever. Robotic doesn't really fit anything outside of his footwork, which was economical enough that he carried his ATG hitting power to the 13th, something modern HW's aren't even given the opportunity to do, much less prove themselves capable of.
