Expect to see Linares in the top 10 p4p in about 2 years. Guy had it all, but power and defense. Everything else looked outstanding.
The same thing happened earlier in the day when Cleverly gave Bellew reassuring pats on the back after being awarded a decision over him. (Bellew was in tears and apologizing to his coaches and to his family for failing...even though many people felt he did enough to win and just got unlucky on the cards ). A lot of good sportsmanship in the day overall, unfortunately all overshadowed by the two biggest names on the biggest stage both proving to be HORRID sportsmen.
Nah, it's his usual style. :yep Crappy to watch unless he's got a willing/immobile target...which Linseed didn't become until the 9th-10th (and very pronouncedly in the 11th).
Beautiful boxing by Linares. P4P #1 if the criteria are the moves and offense alone. His problem is he doesn't commit to his punches. Roach said this before his fight with DeMarco.
Bo fuk1ng hoo!!! Demarco the Mexican beat Linares like he was his b1tch and it hurts you guys just for the mere fact that he( Demarco) is Mexican......the fight was fairly even going into to the 11th and whoever won the last two rounds would win the fight IMO. Linares DID NOT dominate that's just a myth created by haters that are filled with rage because Mexicans dominate boxing. You guys always make excuses and Mexicans keep on winning:happy " And the new lightweight champion of the world, Antonio Tony Demarcoooooo"!!!bbb
