If Floyd takes his WBC mandatory next (I believe Alexander is the #1 contender) OR IF THE WBC ENDS UP MAKING ALEXANDER THE MANDATORY...WOULD YOU BE MAD AT FLOYD FOR DEFENDING HIS BELT?:think

All fighters, with titles, have to fight mandatories to keep their titles.

Floyd is no different! ITS HORRIBLE FOR THE FANS, AS WE SEE A LOT OF MISMATCHES BECAUSE OF "POLITICS IN BOXING."

MY question is, If Floyd does take his mandatory, do you give him any less credit, more credit???

Keep in mind Alexander IS NOT A HIGH PAID MONEY FIGHT FOR FLOYD IN COMPARISON TO SAY........VICTOR ORTIZ (WHO IS NO BIG STAR HIMSELF)

Floyd may opt for this...I HATE "MANDATORIES" AND I THINK THEY SHOULD BE ELIMINATED FROM BOXING, AND A NEW POLICY SHOULD BE PUT IN PLACE WHICH STILL RECOGNIZES SOMETHING "LIKE A MANDATORY."

KEEP IN MIND EVERY FIGHTER ,WITH A MAJOR SANCTIONING BELT (WBC WBA WBO IBF) MUST FIGHT MANDATORIES TO KEEP THAT TITLE.

Please respond with some good opinions, backed by strong facts as to why or why not you would OR would not back back this?

PLEASE NOTE, I AM NOT ASKING WETHER DEVON MAKES FOR A GOOD FIGHT..I THINK FLOYD BEATS HIM. IM QUESTIONING WETHER IT'S EVEN RIGHT FOR HIM TO TAKE IT, GIVEN THAT HE IS ABLE TO GET BIG FIGHTS WOUT BELTS.

No interest in this fight. Alexander would get schooled.

if he fought more often then I wouldn't care.

    Maybe if he did
    Big fight PPV
    Mandatory for free
    Big fight PPV

in a pattern like that all within a year, then I'd be fine

If Alexander is a young hungry tiger (lion was taken cared of) then I guess it is ok.

The rule in esb is that anyone that gayweather did not face is a bum and the ones he is facing or fought are borderline atg.

If Mayweather does not fight Pacquiao next then he will go down as one of the biggest disgraces to ever step foot in a ring.

sure, Floyd and Manny are in the Klitschko scenario not much left out there

Alexander was a champ and I think he redeemed himself in his last fight

he traded with Mattysse and showed heart I think he earned my respect back

Floyd if he cant or wont fight Manny then I would see Martinez, Bradley, Khan, Alexander, Canelo, Chavez JR for family vengeance or even Berto

my main issue is Floyd isnt active and if he is gonna fight once and sit for 8 to 12 months id prefer a better foe

but if its a tune up and he will remain active than this is ok

i wouldnt have a problem with a mandatory...as long as it's within 6 months and not 18 months.

No and I take in the fact that pbf loves the wbc belts. He doesn't have time to be facing mandatories at this point.

As a Mayweather fan I'd be gutted, Alexander would be nothing more than a punchbag, Mattyse, Bradley and maybe Kotelnik beat him (not as sure as some on the last 1)
