Get him to petition the WBC to let him fight one other fight first.

 

Not interesting. Floyd is several levels above most, and only Pac or Martinez would stand any chance.
But Floyd will continue to fight no hopers, and a high quality of no hopers they are, but no hopers just the same.
Alexander fits right in to that category, just the fight Floyd is looking for.
Floyd said that the Ortiz fight was for the fans, but if he really wanted to treat boxing fans, he'd sign to fight Pac .

 

Hmmmm. Maybe. Would depend on who it is (wouldn't want to pay PPV to see Floyd school Alexander).

considering he had been out of the ring for so long before the ortiz fight i wouldn't mind it at the start of the year to keep him active as long as he fights again at the end of the year preferable against pac khan or martinez :bbb

Yea. Devon's trainer said that they don't want to fight Floyd anyway. Their focus is on Ortiz, Paulie, and Berto.

 

What on earth did Devon do to become the mandatory challenger?

 

My prefered order for Mayweather's next fight.
1. Martinez @154-160 Martinez can give Mayweather the best fight.
2. Pacquiao This will be boxing's biggest event.
3. Berto IBF champion who won it at 147 (Ortiz beat Berto at 145) Making Berto the ligit welterweight champion
4. Alexander The #1 WBC. Not a bad boxer but not great either and has no experance at 147.

 

i would not be happy about this fight . we dont gotta worry because devons camp doesnt wana lose. they would like the money but they would rather fight other top ten guys. thats just wut i think .

I won't be satisfied with him or Manny facing anyone other than each other, or Martinez.

Mayweather-Alexander is not a fight that I care to see. There's a certain point where a fighter reaches a level where he can say to hell with the belts. Floyd and Manny are well past that point.

Mayweather already gave up an IBF belt before, I think he was supposed to fight Mark Suarez or something, and also didn't care about the WBA belt when be fought Shane. I known Floyd has always been loyal to the WBC, but there's more interesting (and marketable as well) bouts out there than Devon Alexander.
