Will the Hopkins-Dawson decision be overturned?

no it's a clean KO. Ref should've counted to 10 imo

The ref made the right decision and I think that it's unlikely to be overturned. Maybe an immediate rematch will be ordered by the WBC... that seems more likely to me.

 

If I was Dawson I would drop the ****ing belt than rematch that ***** Hopkins. Time to move on to bigger better things.

 

thanks for the input guys, ill still just have to see for myself but from my knowledge it seems like Hopkins over committed got pushed off and fell funny almost trying to draw a foul rather than worry about the fall itself

 

This better not be changed to a NC. Hopkins clearly did himself in just like Ortiz did against Mayweather. Disappointing to the fans, but the correct calls were made and they should stick.

But he really separated his shoulder. How is that faking. This is not like his shenanigans in the fight with JC. This is real. Dawson threw him down, like he tried to do to Pascal (see video in other thread). I thought NC would be appropriate, but in view of his history of this, Dawson should be DQ'd.

 

i find it funny cos hops has been guilty of over doing incidents just lately.

Regardless of your opinion, this was a travesty to boxing. One of the worst outcomes in a title fight of this magnitude. I don't think Dawson should get DQ'd but to penalize Hopkins who was thrown and injured is stupid.

It should be a NC. They obvioulsy need to have a rematch.

how can people say he faked it??? which even if he did we HAVE to give him the benefit of the doubt considering both his feet where in the air because dawson picked him up... i agree on a no contest but also wtf was the ref agenda he didnt count, didnt let him try to recover, didnt let the doc take a good look at him.... he just said meh **** it hes lying TKO!

 

i dont think he faked the injury but he over exaggerated his fall and got hurt because of it because Dawson didnt lift and drive he jsut pushed and Hopkins fell more than anything

 

im pretty sure its clear he picked his legs up...
