No matter how I look at it, I cant see Nick Diaz beating BJ Penn. His "Stockton slap" isnt going to worry the clean accurate boxing of Penn and his BJJ isnt going to be anything The Prodigy hasnt already faced. His **** talking I fear is only going to **** Penn off and when Penn goes into a fight focused and wanting to prove something, people get beat up. If wild ass Paul Daley can catch Diaz, Penn is going to **** his paper skin up.

Height, reach, stamina and size. Diaz has things in his arsenal that make it interesting. A fresh BJ is always tough to beat but if you overcome that and he gets groggy then he becomes much less of a man and much more beatable.

Edit - Diaz does not have the talent of BJ. He lacks his speed, agility, flexibility, co-ordination and reflexes. P4P, Diaz cannot beat Penn because Penn at his best is too good to lose to size or stamina. However at this age, at this weight, while Diaz is at his best then its a 50-50 fight.

In a word, endurance.. Diaz will set a pace, and Penn will be fighting Nick's fight by the 2nd round.

This card will deliver, can't wait.

Stamina is a huge asset for Diaz, yes, but in 3 round fights Penn has a very durable gas tank unless your a MW like Jon Fitch laying on top of someone. Either way, the fight will be explosive. I cant wait for Penn's reaction when Diaz sticks his chin out and drops his hands.

He won't beat Penn, I think BJ's speed will dictate the fight I think he stops Diaz too.

If he really beats Penn somehow, he is really deserving a title shot Penn has great boxing great BJJ and a great chin, Diaz only advantage is stamina but in a 3 round fight it isn`t usefull. If Diaz beats him I`m impressed

his jab, height and stamina are going to be a huge factor. penn has never beaten a big guy who will come straight at him like diaz will.
this will look like a cross between lawler and shamrock fights for diaz. itll be a shootout for a while as both guys refuse to take a backward step but bj will baulk first and somewhere around the third round it will be him doing all the backpedalling.

i dont understand why bj penn's boxing is regarded up there with the likes of floyd mayweather, just because freddie roach says his boxing is the best in mma dont mean ****, who else has roach trained in mma not a lot. Diaz has this i reckon but id rather see bj with the W

Penn's stamina is not as bad as it's being made out. Maybe earlier in his career when he came in bad shape it was an issue, but not now. He'll be absolutely fine for a 3-round stand-up fight. I recall Penn beating the stuffing out of known cardio-machine Diego Sanchez before stopping him in the 5th round.

Diaz is going to walk towards Penn for 15 minutes, until Penn gets tired of counter punching him then he's going to win the fight

    Believe!

Diaz of course, BJ has never beaten a bigger guy, with great BJJ, great cardio and flailing flurries of punches before

Is Diaz really that much bigger?? Diaz makes 160 just fine...I mean, its not like the Fitch size difference, or even Hughes.
