Vitali's chin

Can anyone think of huge shots he's taken well (that would have wobbled/floored others with decent chins) except for the uppercut in the Lennox fight?

The guy has beard no doubt, but I don't really recall him facing any vicious punchers in his time, with the exception of Sanders and Lewis, who both had him wobbled.

Do you think his reputation is built mostly off of that uppercut?

I just ask because he always seems very skittish when hit. Blinking, flailing etc (though he is just a bit goofy looking in the ring to be fair)

Please give examples of any specific punches/fights

I think if anything his chin is overrated and his defence is underrated.

 

It's his height that makes it look like he's wobbled but his chin is as good as advertised.

 

He has glass chin, but his defense is great so its hard to land on it and prove.

 

Corrie Sanders wobbled him early in their fight

 

People tend to severely overrate his chin. He has been hit with great shots twice only and was hurt both times, and his size needs to be taken into consideration as his oppoents have to punch upwards quite a bit, the punches are less powerful due to the levarages.

 

He took some big shots in the sanders fight

 

i think arreola landed a couple of good shots on him....he barely blinked

 

Arreola may be way overrated, he landed at Adamek as well
and Adamek barely blinked too ... maybe just once when he
also accidentally tripped on his shoe.

 

Lewis landed some serious shots on him causing his lip and eye to tear apart, but he stayed on his feet the whole time and even started taking control of the fight when it got stopped by the doc.

 

Good, but overrated. Guys like Tyson, Louis and Foreman would all be capable of stopping him.

 

Vitali has a very good chin, but people make out it is an ATG beard, no chance.

 

Not meaning to turn this into a 'Lewis TKO6 Vitali' thread, but the complete opposite to your comment happened in that fight.

Vitali took the early rounds against Lewis, but after the 4th round the fight was turning more and more into Lennox's favour. Theres no doubt in my mind that Lennox would have gone on to win that fight if the cut had never happened.

Vitali is a baddass though and H2H he's a nightmare to any heavyweight in history.

 

Why leave out one of the best taken shots in HW history when asking for Vitali's chin? He didn't even ****ing wobble!!

Sanders had him running backwards in round one after being hit with a bomb and being slightly off-balance. Getting hurt by a Sanders straight left is nothing to be ashamed of.

 

Anyone that says Vitali Klitschko doesn't have an Iron Chin knows nothing about Boxing. His Chin is one of the top 3 in the sport today. And it isn't up for debate.
