Pacquiao fans already starting spin control on the Mayweather vs Martinez fight

Pac is an ATG, p4p king, and the bigger challenge. Martinez is a good fighter but not on Pac's level. The only thing Martinez has going for him against Floyd is his size and by going down to 154 he loses a part of that.

I won't go back and forth. Floyd still gets props for fighting Martinez.

Yeah he's overrated. What has he done and who has he beaten to be considered in Pacquiao / Mayweather's class? As a fighter, he's basic, above-average but nothing special. He's old too. If he was at 147 he'd be taken care of easily by both Floyd and Pacquiao. People are just riding his dick because he got a lucky shot on an overrated Paul Williams, and he poses some threat to Mayweather / Pac because of size. The truth is any of the top guys at middleweight would be a threat to Pac / Floyd for the same reason. That's why we have weight classes.

 

I know about the speculation after martinez' manager mentioned an awesome contract they're waiting to announce sometime around this week if I'm not mistaken. Where's the harder evidence beyond the speculation?

It sucks being a boxing fan. Everyone is always relying on speculation and YouTube experts (read: rabid fanboys) for their "sources". **** that. Give me some wikileaks type ****.

 

Martinez is slightly overrated.
I feel Mayweather beats Pacquiao and Martinez btw.
Pacquiao at 147 is a tougher fight than Martinez at 154 imo and would be a better win on his resume.
Martinez isnt as fast as pacquiao, he has a worse defence, he jumps in off balance (granted Pacquiao does this also but not as bad as Martinez), he can only fight off the back foot. Mayweather walks him down for an comfortablish win.
But then again Maybe Im seeing this all wrong

I haven't heard that yet. I'm not saying that. Some of u guys consider me a *******. Actually I'm a Martinez fan also and thinks he's a tougher fight.

1. Where's the proof this fight is happening? I haven't seen 1 reliable source confirming it except hearsay. Mayweather hasn't even said the name Martinez since before the Williams Martinez fight.
2. You are speaking as if Mayweather beats Martinez. What if Floyd gets embarrased?
3. Manny has beaten up plenty of career welterweights.

 

Yet you still rate Floyd over Martienz P4P. See how the tune changes when you want to make a point?

 

There's nothing special about Martinez at all. He's a solid, b-level southpaw , and his wins over PW and Pavlik are overrated. Pavlik was damaged goods and not that good to begin with, and PW fought him very competively, and the second fight was a lucky knockout punch. Martinez just had a competitive fight with somebody no ones ever heard of.

Be honest, if Martiez was a 147 fighter would you give him any shot at beating Pacquiao or Floyd?

IMHO, this is one those cases where I will say "I believe PBF is fighiting Sergio when I see them both on the same ring with a ref" Talk is cheap and when it comes to PBF, talk is even cheaper. :smoke Sergio's size will be too much for PBF to deal with, unless he dances around the ring the entire fight while throwing 2 punches in the last 10 seconds of every round to win the round/
