Nobody in the history of boxing gives up 40lbs to Wlad and wins the fight, IMO.

Against the rest of the division would be very interesting to see, but of course would favor Joe... probably including Vitali in his current state (not prime for prime) as well.

If we are talking about a young late 30's early 40's Joe Louis, he would need to bulk up some.

I think he beats everyone but Wald who uses his height better than Vitily.

  5. Joe would be number one or number two. He'd **** Wlad up. KO haye,Arreola,Fury etc.

  6. Please. Joe's power would not give a **** about Wlad's weight advantage. He will punch Wlad in the chin and shatter it.
    Joe Louis KO6 Wlad Klitschko

Louis won't make it to round 6 against Wlad wearing 8oz gloves.

The more i think about it joe wouldnt be competitive at all today.he would be a midget.and to suggest he will just walk wlad down is pure ignorance.the only way to beat wk at his best would either be a peak tysons style pure speed combos or be as big as him and use reach.louis is neither.he doesnt win a belt at heavy.povetkin would probably prove too much for him in this day in age

Not only handspeed....Haye has much better ring mobility and head movement that's undeniable

Not sure about that, wlacott as foxy as he was he still lost to guys that he shouldn't.
And Schmeling was at his best inconsistent, he was capable of beating a prime Joe Louis and then get KTFO by a very raw Max Baer.

    seriously?

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk-7ic9OCKY[/ame]

look at these 2 big boys going at it...sloppy and telegraphed punches all the way...top contenders in the early 30's.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoSEEXIe6Gg[/ame]

the great Manassa Mauler, Jack Dempsey going ape **** at a journey man and getting knocked out of the ring and almost losing the fight.
No regards to defense...that's some serious street brawl going on there.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFWA5xjJ0-4[/ame]

The marvelous defensive technician, the 6ft. 1 galveston giant sparring a what today would be a bucket carrier.
How the **** can you watch these vids and tell me that boxing has not evolved; look at the telegraphed and wide punches with no technique and no balance on that skinny white guy.

Tnen look at Jim Flynn from 0:35 on, bear in mind this is the same guy who supposedly knock the **** out an up and coming future HW champion and ATG Jack Dempsey in just 1 round.
Look at 0:50 on how he just stands there taking jabs in the head without doing nothing.
Then the piece du la resistance at 1:30 :rofl:rofl...that's some serious Charlie Zelenoff **** going on right there.
Even the shittiest journeyman in todays HW division would have enough common sense to slip under that hand.

I think its pretty clear to see by the Pep & Mayweather vids Mcgrain put on here that techniques in boxing have not hugely evolved, I mean here we have the best technician in the world today in any weight class (Mayweather) looking an inferior & less skillful boxer than some guy in the 40s & 50s (Pep) how can this be ?

Answer = because the people bringing Joe Louis down by saying he`d lose to these bums today just don`t know enough about boxing history & are content to be ignorant because this is their era & they haven`t took the time to study anything ouside of their own era.
