    how many DQs would there have been here if the fight wasnt fixed?


    please watch the flattening KO beginning around the :30 second mark....


    lets discuss this robbery and everything that happened from the second round on






    this is why im surprised cabalero got a decision in argentina over their champion... even if the last fight he got robbed too, i wasnt putting it past the pives to rob him again

    they ended the rounds early for the next three rounds (2 minute cutoff)


    THEN THEY LET HIM REST BETWEEN ROUNDS FOR UP TO 4 MINUTES

    this fight was live at the end of 1993 on univision... with all the live fifa 1994 commercials


    the rest periods that were suposed to be a minute for commericals became very long commercial runs... even the commentators were puzzled

    Preaching to the choir.

    I laugh when I bring this up as the worst ref job ever and worst robbery ever, and then clowns go "Mayweather-Hatton" for the worst ref job or "Pacquiao-Marquez" as the worst robbery.

    Coggi-Gonzalez 1 is both the most outrageously corrupt ref job and robbery I have ever seen.

    This wasn't even a decision robbery where a guy wins 8-9 rounds and loses the fight. There were 3 different times when Coggi would've been either stopped or DQ'd if that ref wasn't blatantly corrupt.

    They ought to just go back and overturn the verdict, and the WBA should award a belt to Gonzalez for the few months between this and the rematch.

    At least Gonzalez can know he was at one point a world champ.

    and to not be SO shameful, when gonzalez gets closer, he lets go cuz he couldnt possibly be holding his fighters trunks while hes fighting back right?


    well gonzalez smashed him again with a right hand and coggi was still confused and out of it, and his trainer grabs his trunks again

    I remember Danny Williams fighting in Greece I think and he had to knock the guy out to put an end to the farce.

    boxrec has him at 70+ wins, 5 losses by decision to the likes of michelle picirillo and frankie randall the most recent... no ko losses


    the nation of ARGENTINA as a whole accept him as 'a great champion' TO THIS DAY... its a ****in farce

    Vs. Konstantin Airich, in Spain. Got deducted like 7 points for BS, plus Oner actually ran up and rang the bell to end a round a minute and a half early when his fighter was in trouble. Absolutely the worst refereeing job I've ever seen.

    this was basically the DEFINITION of a FIXED fight... as in, there was NO WAY whatsoever that coggi was leaving that ring without his title
