46 year old man falls on his elbow in the grocery store, separates his shoulder...we are sad. 46 year old boxer thrown on his elbow, separates his shoulder...we say, "He quit". Ha! Irony

 

My original point was about Dawson fans before the fight, I know there were a lot of people picking Dawson but I don't remember them all by name but Red Cobra was one of the one's who I distinctly remember saying he thought Dawson would win.

 

It's ridiculous. Only in the sport of boxing, can we have irrational fans like these. As soon as the premature ending came, they accused him of faking the injury. When the injury is confirmed, they then expect him to continue fighting with one arm.

Hopkins is not a dunce like Hatton or Ward. Rather than engage in a one shot war, he stays healthy to fight another day, for another few millions. That's the key to his longevity. Had he fought like Gatti/Ward, he'd have had to retire 10 years ago from brain damage, same as what happened to punch drunk Ward and Hatton.

 

I honestly feel like I'm a martian listening to people talk about this. It's so obviously a foul I don't know what to say. He lifted and pushed him off of him.

I suppose people can think he was faking, but that was clearly a foul, even the way Chad shook his hand disdainfully when walking away indicated that.

If this had been rightly ruled a no contest, there would not be one single person arguing it should have been ruled a TKO.

no one with any real knowledge of bhop tactics realizes that he quit. What happened is that he seeks to win at all costs. Maybe he fell to the floor to gain sympathy thinking if I play this as a body slam he will take a point away. BHOP's plan probably backfired and he injured himself. Make no mistake about it he will do anything to win.
