No way, part of the beauty of boxing, is the suspense of waiting for a decision...

Making the score public after every round, really will not help.

For argument's sake, what happens if the home town boy is getting his arse kicked? Rather than handing your card in and running for cover, you as a judge, have to **** the crowd off every round, and they know where you are sitting...

Would you have the balls to put yourself in that position? I Know I would not.

Tbooze is right plus fact fighters who are winning by a few can then become negative and coast like say Cleverly the other night if he knew he was winning by a few on 2 cards he'd of not tear'd up with Bellew right to the very end and also it ruins the suspense of the decisions at end. I've seen fights after round 4 have cards announced and once you know judges are favoring a certain fighters work and it's say 40-36 you lose interest in fight points wise unless there's a major swing in the fight.

They have already tried this at the WBC and it was a stupid idea with fighters knowing they are up by so much they coast to the finish line keeping it safe, I think Mormeck did this v Bell if I am right? he was told he was so far ahead and just basically did nothing to hang on for the win.

    Terrible idea.

Do you realise this has already been tried and was deemed a failure? It was a **** idea then and is a **** idea now.

  8. What you could do is copy the Torvill and Dean thing, all you need is some low rent scoreboard that spits up the numbers at the end of the fight.

In lieu of the judges nationality you'd have a 10 or a 9, and instead of the 6.0 from the British judge and the 5.1 from the French judge you'd have the 10 or 9 for the other fighter.

Copy the examples of rugby and cricket for fast tracking of officials, many of the refs in super league started in their mid-20's.

That was not a test that was fleeting glance.

A big change to the scoring system would need hundreds of fights just to bed-in properly.

Fans just hate change, but I am sure there would be benefits in the future of such a change.

The current scoring system is a complete joke.
