Did Larry finally go too far with his "kick your ass" comment to Floyd? Don't get me wrong ,I think Floyd is a **** and deserved every bit of it (although Merchant really has always given him a hard time), but I can't exactly see HBO brass allowing Larry to sit in the driver's seat after a comment like that. Do you think HBO will finally pull the plug on him?

No. That kind of thing makes for good TV....Watch an episode of Jersey Shore, Real Housewives, or any of their ilk

No he was probably just in the moment, annoyed by Floyds moaning and felt that it would make good TV. Just like how Brian Kenny argues with Floyd on ESPN.

Floyd was yelling at him "You aint ****" that was more disrespectful. What would you say to something like that?

probably right. But then again, it's not like floyd hasn't had a meltdown on ol' bugeyes, either. At this point, I think he would tell the pope to **** off. "The pope don't know **** about baaaxin!!"

yeah he seems to get very mad when peope arent dickriding him in interviews, I felt larry was a little harsh on him in the baldomir fight but I didnt think he did much wrong asking those questions after the fight with ortiz ending like that.
He should behave like a grown man and handle that interview like a man, you can make your point without getting all angry cursing out the interviewer with a million people watching it just because he isnt being a fanboy.

Fact: Merchant is a dick to everyone, regardless of color. I mean, did you see the postfight katsidis interview after the Marquez fight? Also, larry has openly, publically professed his love for two black men : Jefferson and Mosley. So your point is null and ermmm.. void.

Larry is a gem with 45 years of boxing knowledge , and even old, drunk and slurring, one Merchant is worth a thousand Kellermans.
Hopefully HBO keeps the real journalist on the team.

Nope. The simple fact that the network hired a drunken, no talented fool like Larry who doesn't know **** about boxing indicates that he knows someone high up in the network. Probably his father was friends with some bigwig who got the beady eyed fool a job.
    Same for Max, and Lederman.

I don't follow any other sports closely tbh, but do fans of every other sport just naturally assume that everyone else "don't know **** about (blank)" like we boxing fans do? I mean in this thread alone it's come up like 9 times.

I'm convinced at this point that no one, anywhere, at anytime has ever known anything about the boxing. Which leads me to wonder: does boxing even exist?
