Paulie needs a couple gimmes and some time to recover and train before jumping is with a killer like Ortiz. Flawed or not Ortiz is young, dangerous and strong. Paulie is only a couple bad beat downs away from retirement and I don't think he should angle on retiring this year.
Why is everybody ENTERTAINING this Bull**** ass thread??? Why should Ortiz fight Malignaggi. There are some damn good fighters out there. We see what Paulie brings to the Table. In fact...Nazim Richardson said it best in an Interview: "Guys who come into the ring with all that "Flare" (loud colored shorts with tassels on their trunks and shoes) normally don't bring much to the table. Because a dude that can fight, doesn't need all that ****" Just like I said about Khan...I am saying about Ortiz. "stop Babying these young fighters and giving them "Star Status" way before they deserve it. So my reply to the TS..."HELL NO, I don't wanna see Ortiz vs Malignaggi. I wanna see Ortiz vs Alexander!!!!"
Ortiz's best win at 140lbs was a 40 year old Nate Campbell. It would be a close fight against a prime Paulie.
Rewatch the Hatton fight. Or hell, the first Juan Diaz fight, who has some similarities to Ortiz but is way smaller, feather fisted and orthodox. Not to mention that Malignaggi is already operating at about 80% of what he was. I think Ortiz would give Malignaggi all kinds of problems.
Ortiz without a doubt. Paulie doesn't do well in big fights and he doesn't have any significant wins. Ortiz at least has Berto. I like Paulie though. I just think Ortiz would get inside and bully Paulie against the ropes.
Yeah to you every Mexican sucks yet Mexicans dominate the sport of boxing.....Mexico own Pinoys inside the ring and out:happy Ortiz was on his way to koing the cheating ghetto thug but true to his nature Mayweather resorted to suckerpunching when he felt Oriz's powwer.....you're just a Mexican hater and the most you envy the Mexican boxer the more he becomes successful - most champs in boxing currently:tong P.S: How's Linares doing?
