Crazy isn't it, and all of this is because we victimise the Welsh :huh

Froch was due to fight on Oct 29th so he would have been fit and sharp. He would have certainly weighed more than 168.

Cleverly has great chance of beating Froch. Anyone that thinks otherwise is a fool.

Cleverly matches Froch almost in every department. He is better than Froch in some areas; Carl is better than Nathan in some areas.

For me it's a 50/50 fight. If It went went the distance Cleverly would possibly outwork Froch and get a close decision. I think Nathan would work the body well.

Nathan showed vunerability to the body in the Bellew fight. Froch would walk him down and then hurt him badly.

Froch deffo capable of hurting Nathan but don't think so the other way round!!!

I completely agree. Nathan is NEVER stopping Froch. However, Froch can stop Nathan in ANY round.

Yet I do think Cleverly's workrate and punch output would trouble Froch. I also consider Cleverly better on the inside. He is very aggressive.

Froch is the better fighter on the outside. He could out do Cleverly fighting on the back foot.

I think this fight could go either way. It's fight I'd like to see next year.

No way does Cleverly out work Froch.

    Can't see that at all.

At this stage I think Froch would do him in a one sided fight.

Cleverley is more or less totally untested at world level.

Froch is the epitome of proven!!!

This is such bollocks. The Cleverly hype is getting a bit silly. The guy has fought nobody near Froch's level. Not even close.

Froch has lost a lot of rounds. Yes he has fought top guys but he has still lost a lot of scorecards. There has to be reason for this other than level of opposition.

    Anyway, Cleverly is world class.

He is better than Abraham and Johnson. Cleverly has qualities that Dirrell lacks, although Dirrell is a more gifted talent. In general Cleverly is as good a Pascal.

Cleverly is young and will prove himself. Remember though, world class fighters can lose.

Dan Rafael on his twitter thinks Cleverly and Cloud would a 'cracking fight'.

I'm gonna tackle these in order.

    1. Really? One judge in the Dirrel fight and one mong in the Johnson fight (which if you agree with this debate is pointless) and the kessler loss.

    2. How do you know when he hasn't thought at that level?

    3. What do you base that on? None of Cleverly's opponents have been near that level.

    4. He is a **** of the highest order.

  11. Froch would outbox Cloud to a decision, Cloud is heavy handed but I think Froch would be able to land his jab regularly and has enough of a dig to prevent Cloud just rushing in and throwing the big ones. Woods if you remember landed his jab at will, with a bit more left in the tank would have won.

Dawson.... I think Froch would stop him, more on gut instinct than any particular view of their respective styles.

Cleverly - Froch is all wrong for him. He'd have a bit of success early with his high workrate, but eventually would be tagged regularly with pretty much everything that Carl has, and would probably be rescued late in the fight.

Froch would stop Shumenov in the middle rounds, he'd bring the heat from the word go and force a stoppage.

Pascal - same as last time. Establish the jab and use movement = fight over.

I don't think him being 34 is an issue, he lives well out of the ring and to me is still improving technically.

    1. Two Judges in the Taylor fight. Magee was also close. Whether I agree or not, the judges saw them that way.

    2. He has cleaned up at Domestic and European level. Besides, you can tell he's world class.

    3. Watching him fight. Murat is a better version than AA, we all know that.

    4. I agree. Although I never expected him to give Nathan a chance. He was very impressed with both Cleverly and Bellew.

You must be a Klitschko fan.

  14. 1. Froch knocked both out. The cards are irrelevant. Froch TKO12 Taylor, Froch KO11 Magee. Ask Brian himself on here who won.

    2. Cleaned up at domestic and euro level yes, but there's a difference between cleaning up at euro level and being world class. Very big.

    3. Bollocks.

Froch could beat all of them on his night.
