For someone coming out of football and into boxing late, I think Curtis Woodhouse has done exceptionally and adapted himself to the pro game. I was down at Portsmouth watching some local fighters in a card recently and people don't credit the journeymen that people like Curtis Woodhouse has to face and has actually stopped. None of the up and coming prospects on that bill put a dent in the likes of Billy Smith, Johnny Greaves etc and they're MUCH tougher than they're given credit for. They eat punches for dinner and seeing it ringside really made me appreciate that it's alot harder than it looks on the TV. Given Woodhouse gave Frankie Gavin all he could handle, the same Frankie Gavin thats touted as the future of British boxing, someone coming on here being "no offence you're Curtis Woodhouse" is disrespectful. The jokes over, he's earnt his dues as a boxer. As for sparring, it's a useful insight yes, but looking sharp in training can mean nothing if the other guy is sharper and faster etc, I think this will be like Martinez Burns again, and will go to the wire. No way is Burns stopping Kasidis and he can't get dragged in a war, as Kasidis will WIN any war on the inside with Burns. I can't wait for this fight and I think Frank ****** once again has made a mistake by giving Kasidis a chance in England to upset another of his fighters.
Some people don't give fighters the credit they are due though mate. Anyone who is in the game and takes the time to post on hrere to give the fans a bit of info should be given respect. As for Katsidis, he is a quality fighter, a far better opponent than Broner IMO, but Im going for a win for Ricky. Biased opinion but no apologies for that. Good post mate,
