The only times he wasn't around was when he was round at your mums giving her a good hard fisting. watching that is probably where you got all of your boxing knowledge from!!
Curtis might sound like a silly question but whats the chances of you having a home coming fight in Driffield? Just trying to think if there would be any suitable venues.
would love to fight in driffield mate but you hit the nail on the head theres no venues i think bridlington spar would be the next best thing but its still 12 miles from home
glad your getting some good sparring in curtis. i think burns is in for a tough fight though, kastidis is a big step up from what he has been fighting, good luck to him though,he seems a great lad . craig, please **** off, craigs are usually really nice lads with a sense of humour, handsome guys, sometimes a bit shortish, but well proportioned, good in bed with the ladys. you sunshine, are obviously not a craig, now stop giving craigs a bad name and go and play on the M6 at rush hour naked with a blindfold on,theres a good chap:thumbsup
I dont know if it will be enough to win, but a few things that Burns has going for him in a fight with Kats, is that Katsidis is a straight ahead kind of fighter. That Burns has a good uppercut for when he's rolling foward trying to get inside. That Burns is taller so will probably be more effective fighting from range than the squat, face fighting Katsidis. Burns is also a pretty straight puncher. However one of the assets Burns possesses that he will need the most imo, is that Burns knows how to box a little, and fight a little. I believe the reason that's so important is because he cant go too defensive and surrender the momentum to Katsidis, cause Katisidis is nothing if not consistent with his attack. Burns cant afford to stay involved with him though, as that is how he gave Vicente Escobedo such a beating imo. I believe Escobedo realized he needed to stand his ground somewhat, to get Katsidis respect so he didn't steamroll him with pressure, but he did too much of that and languished on the inside too much imo. Burns needs to do what he did with Martinez, box when you have to, fight when you have to, maintain that balance between the two though. I dont know what happens when Burns get hit, cause Katsidis is a decent puncher, and Martinez looked like he nearly had him outta there, that said, I dont rate Katsidis anywhere near as highly as others do, infact I think Broner potentially would of given Burns more problems, due to style, simply because Burns is a conventional fighter who fights in straight lines, and someone like Broner would possibly of been able to exploit that with the angles he uses. Katsidis might be tough, he might of mixed at world level, but he is what he is at the end of the day, a short face first pressure fighter who comes straight down the line with little head-movement and gets hit, that said, he is tough, consistent, and can dig a bit, so.... We will see I guess.
Really glad Ricky has taken this fight and I would imagine he will be as well. This is a fight he will have to be up for physically and mentally. This fight is the sort of fight guys dream about boxers and fans alike. I am sure Ricky and team will have a game plan and with Katsidis will have to stick to it! I can't stress enough how much I am looking forward to this fight, when watching fights my oldest son always asks who do you want to win I always reply "the best boxer" on November 5th as much as I admire Katsidis I will 100 percent be behind burns!
