Jimmy McLarnin fought flywieght Pancho Villa at a catchweight in 1924 and he eventually became a WW champion of the world. Guess he must be **** too.

Can't blame Manny for Oscar fight. Oscar cocked up and as i remember was getting **** on for fighting a blown up super feather.

Margo was fighting at 150 which was 3 pounds heavier than the weight class he had made his name. (although he looked drained against Mosely 150 should have been no massive ask)

Cotto is the only one i had a problem with. Freddy Roach said he wanted Cotto weak and that they wanted intentionally to drain him for that fight. Thats bull****. to ask for a catchweight like that against the champion of the weight and then within 2 fights your fighting for the light middle weight title?!!!

Cotto must ****ing hate Bob Arum

:good:good:good People forget, Oscar was going to fight at 147 whoever he was fighting. The Mayweather rematch was set at 147 and the same people claiming he was drained must've forgot the common perception was that he was going to be faster at 147 and not stop jabbing. This was even the perception after the Forbes fight at 150 where Oscar "didn't get tired" Only after Pac beat him down and became a threat to Floyd that the tuned changed.

it is a legit argument. I don't think a guy is a legit title holder at a specific weight unless he beats a champion at the actual weight. These catchweights make the fights not as legit, although I do think Manny is great. I don't mind catchweights for fights where there is no title, but for a title there shouldn't be such thing as a catchweight. The whole weight limit is why we have the belts and champions for that specific weight.

The idea that Cotto was "drained" against Pac is the biggest load of **** ever. He weighed in a MASSIVE 1lb less again Pac as he did against Clottey.

It was cottos last fight at 147 and they drained him 2 lbs. So clearly Cotto had trouble, if he didnt have trouble, he wouldnt have moved up to 154.

    Excuses,

Cotto is overrated. I still cannot see why this kid is the love child of ESB.com.Coincidentally Margarito's best win was against overrated Cotto and Kermit the leap frog out of the ring Cintron.Well, he did beat Martinez years ago.Another one whom I rate as overrated too. What else is there to say? Margarito is useless without his loaded hand wraps and he was out for a few months.Fishnets agreed to fight at 147 and a coke addict so was hatton so....who was to blame?
