Marquez is a better win because he is a better fighter. Ortiz was a handpick as was JMM for Floyd, but Marquez will always be considered a better win.

*******s n floyd haters will say hmm cuz their hero is fighting hmm. In reality it's Ortiz who would beat JMM at welterweight.

It shouldn't be close but that's esb for u. Is jmm more skilled then Ortiz of course but it's also irrelevant. Like saying Floyd is more skilled then Carl Froch there for ward should fight mayweather.

Of course it's the same tards who claim may was 160 on fight night my disdain for these people knows no bounds

That's my point. Since the ACTUAL size difference between Mayweather and Marquez was minimal, the Marquez victory was the better victory because Marquez was the more skilled of the two opponents.

Marquez. Marquez is still a future hall of famer and still somewhere on some peoples P4P lists. He was definitely on every one's back then. The way Floyd methodically made Marquez look like a C level fighter was astonishing. The weight was not an issue.

The JMM fight was a farce. I didn't even order it and haven't even sat through the entire debacle. Floyd had every single advantage in that fight. There was no drama.

So, by default, the less accomplished Ortiz; who actually posed a bit of a physical threat to May.

Wait, you admit to not watching the entire JMM Mayweather fight. So, shut the **** up.

Ortiz. JMM looked sluggish at the weight and I don't think it was 100% down to Floyds skill

I rate the Ortiz fight similar to Floyd's wins over Jesus Chavez and Carlos Hernandez. Good wins for that division and a quality performance against a quality fighter.

However, JMM is not a quality fighter, JMM is a great fighter, and though there were mitigating factors, obviously, Floyd's performance was terrific.

Ten years from now when people list the fighters Floyd defeated, JMM's name will come up much sooner on the list than the middling, (though still good) Ortiz.

    That's my issue right there.

If the ending was a normal one (UD or non-controversial KO), the Ortiz win would obviously be the better one. But having that in mind, I pick the JMM win, although Mayweather's advantages were significant.

Ortiz, only because JMM looked so completely out of place at the weight.

I think Ortiz was a better win because of the age difference in that fight.

Ortiz is nothing special, but he atleast beat a 147 champ even if it was just Berto, regardless of the obvious flaws he showed. Marquez win was farcical and meaningless due to Floyd not making the weight. Ortiz by default.
