How did you score Cleverly-Bellew?

I do think that if Dave Parris proved one thing on Saturday it was that knowledgeable fans should not blindly agree with the views of pundits/judges - they obviously aren't always right.

 

1 of the best fights iive seen iin ages.never gave bellew a chance but **** me did he make a fight of it and definately another few fights bit more experience and he can come again.regarding clev his last 3 or 4 fights ive not been that impressed and i think he needs to stay away from hopkins etc cus it could wreck his career getting schooled from him

 

Watching it 'live' (well, on Boxnation, I wasn't there) I had Bellew winning by two, but when they replayed it waiting for the Hopkins card to start I scored it as a draw. As a draw I gave Bellew three of the first four rounds, nine and ten plus one of the middle ones - i can't remember which one exactly...

 

The poll shows how close it was. Watched it again today and had it a draw.

 

So you wouldnt argue with the Williams-Lara judge?

 

Oh yes i know its not all maths, understanding, positional play etc I`m around A class level 1850+ Managed to go 50 moves against GM Nigel Short who killed me at the end with the extra pawn, Got a draw against IM Richard Palliser too

Did you play them both over the board & what were the time controls?

I've been as high as 2100 but have barely played in the last year, I've beaten a young Polish master twice in a tournament as white & black who had beaten Short in a blitz game.

Rescored this today had it 7-5 to Cleverly and i was rooting for Bomber. Very close fight.

Just rescored it and had it 115-113 to Cleverly, only a round different than I had it on the night.

 

I had it a draw with Cleverly winning the last two rounds.

 

They were over the board in Simuls, Been told if i kept to it i could get past 2000, not played for sometime now. I love playing e5 against e4 No fear! Ive beaten players above 2000 over the board. Got a good opening repertoire.
