I'm thinking about doing a highlight video. Could use some suggestions. I'm thinking of stuff like Dempsey/Tunney II, Argeullo/Pryor I. Either competitive fights where one guy winds up on the losing end of a battle, or situations where a fighter is getting beaten up/outclassed but still manages to hang tough and ship some damage of his own. What are some good examples?

Some modern examples that spring to mind include Maidana/Kahn and Marquez/Katsidis.

Foreman-Lyle. Lyle went in there and traded bombs with one of the hardest punchers in the history of the sport on even terms before getting KO'd. It's a horrible game plan to stand flat-footed and trade with Foreman of all people, but Lyle doing it has to be respected.

Rats, you beat me to it.

McClellan-Benn. Even if McClellan would have won that one with a fair referee...

Holmes-Cooney. The body shots Cooney put on Holmes made me cringe. Gutsy effort too.

Hearns-Colbert. Watched it the other day. He got his ass whipped and knocked down 3 or 4 times, but never stopped trying and kept a young Hearns on his toes.

Those are just fresh in my mind.

Hearns-Hagler. Thomas went out and stood toe to toe with the best middleweight in the world and managed to stay in the fight for 3 rounds, even with a broken hand. Very admirable.

Charles-Marciano I. Charles was the only man to take Rocky the full 15 rounds, and he took a hellacious beating in the 15th round but managed to stay on his feet and survive. After the fight he had lumps all over and was swollen pretty badly.

Holyfield in the first Bowe fight is an obvious one.

Wayne McCullough against Eric Morales is another good one.

Mickey Walker against Max Schmeling is an ATG losing effort.

Morales-Maidana. Morales's eye was shut after the first round yet he went on to make it an extremely close and entertaining fight.

Basilio-Robinson II. Basilio trudged on after Robinson, despite his eye being shut and taking heavy leather from a hard puncher.
