SHOWTIME Is presenting Bute as a dangerous predator

The guy who signed Bute's contract is so horrible that HBO stole him to Showtime.

Signing Dirrell would have been a terrible idea, not Bute.

 

Bute will prove he's top dog at 168 if anyone actually mans up and fights him. he's the cream of the crop and showtime were wise to bring him on as their top dog, he sells out arenas, fights in exciting style and has everything you need to become a future star.....now he just needs everyone to stop avoiding him.

 

In a way, the result of the Hopkins-Dawson fight is a good thing for Bute. People were talking of the possibility of a Ward-Hopkins fight but I don't think the interest for that fight is there anymore. Ward-Bute is now definitely the most significant possible fight for Ward.

 

bute's problem has been making fights. he's a good fighter. he may not have faced the best opposition so far but he doesn't look like a guy who is gonna be exposed when he steps up. he looks like a guy with good power & a lot of talent imo. i don't understand the stick he gets.

 

Fits with HBO, Showtime's president showed his stupidity in bank rolling a ****ing round robin tourney instead of a straight single elimination one.

 

Everyone knows how I believe Bute is 1#. I am hoping Johnson pulls the upset oddly. Johnson is a warrior and you can't go against him.

can't wait for this fight. bute will not knock out johnson. this one will go the distance. bute hasn't been the distance since the 1st andrade fight and we saw what happened there in the final seconds of the fight.

What Ward and Dirrell don't seem to grasp is that you get rich in boxing by taking out your opponents in exciting fashion like Bute.


Out of the US, would any1 really pay to watch a Direll or a Ward fight?

 

There would not have been any tournament if not for the round robin. Think about it. If you were a promoter, would you put your fighter in an elimination tournament, risking all his career on one fight? No one would have accepted that. That's why we rarely have tournaments. This event has not been good for my favourite boxer but as a boxing fan, I consider it was a good thing for boxing.

Of course, behind your keyboard, matchmaking is easy, right?
