Cintron earned himself a tittle shot coming off of 2+ horrible performances. He is a soul-less gatekeeper at this point but if somehow the Cintron from the Angulo fight shows up we might get a decent scrap.

If the Cintron from the Angulo fight shows up, Alvarez is gonna lose that 'O'. But I doubt that Cintron will show up. It'll be headcase Cintron, without any legs left. One thing for sure, Cintron will find something to complain to the ref about. He always does.

I think Cintron might get motivated for this fight.

Who cares? Alvarez lifted the title by beating a junior welterweight who'd never even fought at 154 pounds anyway.

    Ignore the titles.

Hopefully there is no leap frogging to the press row on this one.

You are right but there ARE worthier opponents @154.

Nice step up for Canelo. If he impresses against Cintron, there's no reason why he shouldn't fight a top contender/champion in his next bout.

Why is Cintron getting shot after shot at a title ?

I would understand if it was Mayorga, who I'd really pay to watch over and over but Cintron ? Who still want to pay to see him ? Maybe to see him lose.

I doubt its going to be PPV. :think :? Well, it better not be on PPV.

I kind of feel the same way you do about BOTH fighters honestly. Neither fighter should be in a world title bout right now.

I like Alverez in this. I think his people are bringing him along really well. Rember he's only 21 years old. Cintron is very good but not great.
