Pacquaio is fighting Marquez at the same catchweight as Mayweather did at 144?

we all know pac does whatever possible to give his opponent little chance of winning. he makes the big guys drain and come in weak on fight night claiming he's too small for them and not a natural welter weight yet when a smaller guy wants a fight he's all of sudden a full fledged welterweight and can't make 140 so he makes him gain weight and fight at a weight they already proved to be useless at 2 years ago when he lost every round in his only fight at WW. It's getting pathetic

    1. MAyweater didn't even make the weight.

    2. This will be Marquez' 3rd fight above LW, not his first.

    3. Pacquiao and Marquez is similar in size.

 I was being sarcastic and Floyd weighed in at 150 vs Oscar and actually came into the fight weighing 149

Well he would say that wouldnt he?

No way in blazes Floyd weighed more than 155 in the ring. I think I was 152 as his official weight.

Flotd doesnt even weigh 160+ when hes NOT training.

    No he didn't.

The fight was a welter weight fight with a catchweight of 144. In the CONTRACT it stated for every pound over 144 not to exceed 147 (which is the welterweight limit) the fighter will pay a penalty fee.

Floyd hit the scales at 146lbs, obviously he felt 144 would have slighlty drained him, so he paid his penalty fee, but it was still a valid contract because it was still within the welterweight limit of 147.

So for all you non business people on here, the penalty fee is considered a Contract Clause. If you don't know what a clause is google it.

Mayweather was badly criticised for not honoring the catchweight, not for the fight itself. It wasn't a fair fight, Marquez trained and prepared for 144, Mayweather trained and prepared for the full welter limit.

Pacquiao will honor the catchweight, he is also similar size to Marquez. He won't get much credit for the win, with Marquez having gone up two divisions. It will however be a much more credible win than Mayweather's, which was made null and void when he chose not to make weight against a smaller fighter already at significant physical disadvantages.

Marquez should not be fighting past 140. He looked slow as molasses against FLoyd. Heck, even Katsidis made him look bad at times gave him a very tough match. Marquez should have stuck around the 135 limit.
