OK then, so does Scottish and Welsh but historically they used to have
their own language which you as being English are not familiar with ... right?

"Irish (Gaeilge), also known as Irish Gaelic,[3] is a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goidelic_languages"]Goidelic language[/ame] of the Indo-European language family, originating in [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ireland"]Ireland[/ame] and historically spoken by the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_people"]Irish people[/ame]. Irish is now spoken as a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_language"]first language[/ame] by a minority of Irish people"

The law cannot apply only to English ... assume the Irish guy whose first language is Irish,
his kid is born in London and he speaks Irish only ... according to what is encyclopedia
saying he ain't English, he is still Irish and not only because of language but also by
the ethnic group to which his parents belong, right?

right....now before you go remember this is going to unfold your other point...that england isnt a country...how is it that wales has its own language (they speak english too) but arn't a country...so now you're about to try and spread you butter on both sides...

A large amount of Northern Ireland folk consider themselves to be British, not Irish, and visa versa. Let's not get into that one, it's been raging for a while.

    I just want some pace.

So we can agree that there are 4 countries which you can call 'native'
to Britain as they are placed on British Isles, there are other countries
overseas which are belonging to Britain as well.

However each one from the four countries have its own nation/ethninc
group and historically different language (there is nothing to argue
    with encyclopedia about, right)?

According to encylopedia you can be called English when you speak
English language and you belong to that ethnic group.

If you are coming from Bangladesh for example, you belong to
Bengals which speak their own language and have their
own ethnicity which ain't English or Scottish .... their kids
being born in London have right to be called British citizenship.

... but they cannot be English since their parents were not belonging
to that ethnic group or that nation. Only if they mix with the
local English folks, their kids may be called English ... is that right
    to this point?
