Boxers aren't very educated persons, they can call themselves as they want but that doesn't make the truth. Gladiator for example want to be Gladiator but he never will be. --------------- "Calzaghe was born in Hammersmith, London, to [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sardinia"]Sardinian[/ame] [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enzo_Calzaghe"]Enzo Calzaghe[/ame] and his [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wales"]Welsh[/ame] mother Jackie" So he is British-Welsh but also half Itialian, and probably zero English? ----------------- "Lewis was born on September 2, 1965, in [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Ham"]West Ham[/ame], London, England to [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamaica"]Jamaican[/ame]-born parents." Lewis s British and Canadian citizen, maybe he would love to be English but he has zero relationship to this ethnic group. He is British of Jamaican heritage. ---------------- Hamed was born in [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheffield"]Sheffield[/ame], to [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yemen"]Yemeni[/ame] parents, in 1974. So Hamed is British with Yemeni heritage he ain't English or Scottish. ---------------- All of them were British, noone were English, Joe was Welsh ... I don't know about Eubank, if one of his parents was English then he is rightfully English.
Firstly, they most certainly would not. Secondly, why on earth would English folk laugh at Chris Eubank stating he is an Englishman?
I wouldn't blame them, Chris was celebrity in a good sense, any nation would love to have him. Would you laugh at Floyd Mayweather when he calls himself as an Englishman? Otherwise calling himself an Englishman may be different from having English ethnicity.
Yea Lennox is fully Jamaican... he can call himself British or English or whatever but that doesn't make it so. sorry brits, not to rain on your honeymoon.
I would say he is rightfully half British half Canadian with 100% Jamaican blood. He does not have right to call himself English thou ... well he have right but only in his own mind.
That depends who were his parents, if none were English he ain't English no matter how hard he tries.
Do you think black English football players, born in England, shouldn't be allowed to play for the English national football team?
